I'd suggest that i spend more money on software a month than most individuals here spend in a year. This can be evidenced by my long-standing support contracts with corel, Adobe and Auto-Desk.
I've spent nearly a grand a year with AutoDesk since I first spent three and a half grand with them back in 1999.
I am guilty of making software that I pay for available to others but that's because others can't always afford it and I never see it as a sale lost if it would never have been bought.
