So many fucking brilliant songs. Little trivia, if you listen to the very end of Comely you can hear the producer shout "Holy Shit" because he thought Jeff was just testing his guitar when instead he played through the whole 8 minutes of the track.

Some bands I really like though are:
Postal Service
Ryan Adams
Jeff Klein
Afghan Whigs
Lindisfarne
Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys
The Who
The Clash
The Libertines
The Cure
I am also rather fond of Classical Music too, particularly SHostakovich and Prokofiev.

My biggest problem with them isnt their music, it is more the pedestal that they are put upon that gets me. I dont believe any band could ever be as good as people make them out to be. However, love them or hate them, you have to appreciate that they are the most important band in modern music.

especially the way that the surviving members have managed to get away with churning out some absolute shit (some of mccartney's most recent stuff is pretty good though, especially chaos and creation...)
i'd like to see a modern band so prolific and yet with such a range and quality to their music though

don't throw all of the old stuff out of the window because your folks listen to it. it was the music that shaped that generation for a reason.
