The Non-bearded Wife with proper lady bumps has a birthday exactly 2 weeks after me, so we had a joint present of a DS lite and she got me Call of Duty 4 - I feel like a gamer now - it is a bit fun though
(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 10:02, archived)
# My family bought the BW
Professor Layton and the Curious Village on the DS. I can thoroughly recommend it if you're a fan of puzzles. But sometimes the puzzles are worded really wierdly.

(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 9:50, archived)
# well it was a toss-up between him and Charlie Brooker

(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 10:07, archived)
# aahh ok. J Peasemould Gruntfuttock is a character from round the horne
it's a sort of similarish name...
(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 10:14, archived)

# aahh ok => i now understand where the name comes from.
the whole bit about where your username comes from is in response to the question: 'another?'
the bit in the body of the message explains what i was thinking. and chernobble's response clears my confusion.

bloody hell im going to start my replies with definition or proposition in the future.

Anyone else hear about ITV slashing local news?
Apparently a lot of the old regions are being merged so they can cut down on their local news costs, with OFCOMs approval.

This just a month or two after OFCOM fined them for not producing enough local programming...
(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 9:55, archived)
# They'll be bust within the year.
and good riddance, too.

Edit: I do apologise for my brutality, but I despise ITV and everything it stands for.

I don't dare look, just in case she looks like him as well

indeed, ITV News is quite awful
(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 10:06, archived)
# I can never quite work out how
ITV news and Channel 4 News bear so little qualitative relationship to one another.

It's a paradox.
(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 10:08, archived)
# I once got interviewed
in the same day by BBC news and ITV. The BBC team were very nice and spent ages being perfectionists. The ITV team did it all in three minutes and said "Yeah, that'll do". It was like being interviewed by a group of builders after the beeb.
(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 21:11, archived)
# Well, you could always murder him horribly
and see how it works out.

Just as an experiment.
(, Wed 4 Feb 2009, 10:05, archived)
# I
Would consider it a blessing to lose ITV (STV where I am) local news, it's almost entirely Rangers/Celtic (local football teams) and whatever they can reach from their Glasgow office without getting wet (even if it was raining), annoying and sh1t.
