But from the Germans' perspective.

# It must be kind of strange to be german
and kill german people in that kind of games. Not every german is a evil nazi, not even in that time and/or army. I'm currently playing Company of Heroes...also really cool.

# I don't kill people
I strike the hitbox of a polygon model
(, Tue 14 Jul 2009, 9:57, archived)
# But don't you get the urge to go out and kill people?
The Daily Mail has fauxSCIENCE proof (reader opinion) that there is a direct link between video game violence and real life violence. It's not just that there are a few mentalists in the millions of players of said games.
(, Tue 14 Jul 2009, 10:00, archived)
# hahaha
give a Mail reader a game in which they shoot Germans and watch them try not to

# what annoys me most is that politicians
are discussing about banning violent computer games but apparently see no problem with real life shooting clubs / competitions (because they're "traditional", my ass)

# Guntrading, going to war with sandcounty;s and allowing R&B music
...it's so hypocritical

# There's nothing violent about shooting at a piece of paper with circles drawn on it.
I used to belong to a rifle club, I also play violent computer games and watch violent movies. I don't feel the urge to go out and stab/shoot people though.

# See - I only watch
Bambi continuously, at top volume, and I find the urge to kill people overwhelming and sexy.
(, Tue 14 Jul 2009, 10:33, archived)
# that's generally right
but the killer from the last killing spree here in germany got his guns from his father's closet (they were both members of a shooting club), and do you think they took it as a reason to tighten the firearms laws? Of course not! What would the lobbyists say! But oh, hey, the guy had "Killerspiele" on his PC, they must be responsible, let's ban them all!
/rant

Edit: The reasons for someone to go batshit are of course much more complex than that and would require a deep psychological approach, but try to sell that to the papers two days after another shooting. fucking politics.

Dear Zak,

I’m writing from Korg USA, Inc., exclusive U.S. distributor for Marshall amplifiers. Thanks very much for your feedback on Marshall’s amplifiers. We have held a meeting, and rated your feedback at a solid 7.5.

Should you wish to reduce this feedback, we here at Korg, Marshall, and Vox recommend you attempt to move your guitar further away from the amplifier. If you’re enjoying the feedback, however, we recommend you grab the wammy bar and make it shriek like a banshee.

And a second-hand guitar

[challenge entry] threadjackquestion
posted this at the weekend when image host was down. is there way i can add a compo tag to it without pearoasting?

(bear in mind i am a bit thick)
(, Tue 14 Jul 2009, 10:10, archived)
# Yes thicky :)
You can edit your post (or your old post if you can find it) and there should be a drop-down that lets you tag it as a challenge entry.
(, Tue 14 Jul 2009, 10:11, archived)
# of course! i knew that!
