a lot of us use msn groups (see FAQ again) they only offer limited space, but they do allow remote linking and infinite bandwidth so i'd reccomend using MSN groups for stuff that's on the board. then transfering it across to a free hosting account (i like www.250free.com ) for longer term storage

sinlge frame pictures are better as jpg rather than gif, as you only get 255 colours available with gifs

to further explain

the jpeg format is better at handling high colour images with lots of different colours close together, like photos.

.gif is idea for images with less colours or large blocks of solid colours, like paintmashes. also good for animation :-)
