New thread, WHOOP!
No Seasame Street allowed or muppets for that matter, fucking unfunny pupput cunts.

I will be thirty in Feburary, this feels very strange. How have you coped with getting older?

Alt: Home alone, best christmas film ever.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 13:56, 236 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
I'm ignoring this question because you forgot about Die Hard
Did anyone watch Black Mirror on Sunday, it was fucking excellent.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 13:57, Reply)
I thought it was good
Having read Charlie Brookers description earlier I liked its Twilight Zone esque nature.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 13:59, Reply)
It was ok, a bit blunt and obvious I thought, but passed another hour until my death

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 13:59, Reply)
I just get on with it, really.
Age is just a state of mind.

Alt: is it shite. Trading Places is much better, and has the added bonus of JLC's knockers.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 14:00, Reply)
The worst bit about thirty is the yearly countdown that starts at about 27 or so
Afterwards it doesn't seem like that big a deal. I'm going to be 32 next year. Time seems to be accelerating.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 14:02, Reply)
...by not giving a fuck
I was 37 at the weekend. Meh

Alt:
Christmas films are like Christmas songs. They should all be stopped. Home Alone is "just" acceptable.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 14:03, Reply)
As is Home Alone 2

Oh fuck off, you child.
I'm on my countdown to being forty. Two years, one week and one day.

I'm assured this is when my 'life' will 'begin'.

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 14:37, Reply)
Really?

(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 14:49, Reply)
I think so.
I mean if you can't watch grey stuff, fine, but it doesn't have any bearing on the plot or the characters etc etc etc blah
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 15:02, Reply)
You misunderstand me
Some directors specifically choose to use black and white for the purpose of the film (cf Raging Bull).
I'm not particularly "into film" but I know many directors treat it as an art form like any other. In that case aesthetics, such as colour, are very important.
(, Tue 6 Dec 2011, 15:09, Reply)

30 didn't bother me
but I had a bit of a wobble when I turned 28 as I had always expected to die at 27 having achieved greatness. Still being alive and having achieved precisely nothing was quite depressing.

Alt: The best Christmas film is TURN THAT BLOODY TELLY OFF AND SOCIALISE YOU IGNORANT OAF.

Alt: As I've said many times, I'm a fan of Love Actually. However, Patrick Stewart's Christmas Carol is excellent, and I also like Home Alone 2, if only for this bit
