I've been contacted by a recruitment agency
I've been contacted by a recruitment agencyfor a bank job in London (database development, not safecracking). £65000pa and it sounds like I could do it. It would mean moving to London, though.
Would you?
Alt: What city wouldn't you live in?
Edit: I'm watching The Matrix, what film should I be watching?

 I would, that's a good salary.
I would, that's a good salary. You could buy a place on the outskirts easily and commute in, or rent in the centre and have hardly any commute.

So So, ran 3 and 4 miles on Thursday and Friday and went surfing yesterdaytoday I was too tired and sore to do any significant excercise apart from some body surfing. Tomorrow I intend to do some more surfing.
Sadly, I'm not feeling terribly optimistic about running at the moment.

Personally I would turn it down, the money is amazing but the responcibility is way higher than I would want to deal with, and the nature of the work would be the dullest imaginable.

Well, I already live in London so that answers that one.As for the job...well, I'd want to know more. £65k does sound very tempting...especially now, considering how "Montied" I am, financially.
Alt: Oh god, there's a few. Think I'd find Leeds too depressing if I had to do more than just drink there; Leicester's quite nice around the university but the centre's becoming (become?) a bit of a hole. And even Cambridge, actually - really picturesque but I think I'd get bored very quickly.
EditQ: Crust.

Whilst I would have no desire to live in London permanently
Whilst I would have no desire to live in London permanentlyfor that kind of money I think I could tolerate it for a couple of years or so, if I were single. Knowing people there already would help, plus I could probably bunk in with my aunt who is rattling around in a massive house in Battersea.

I just had a weird couple of hourswhere I felt like a character in someone else's story with unconvincing reasons for appearing in the plotline.
Through a few (fairly dull) coincidences, I ended up driving an old woman about 4 or 5 miles home. She gave me £10, I feel faintly bad about that

I'm in my pants and t-shirt that I slept in at the moment, but my flat is like 90% immaculate....... All the surfaces are scrubbed, I have no washing up, all my clothes are in the clothes bin... only thing I have to do is put the rubbish out. I'm going to wear what I always wear, simple shirt and chinos. I'm cooking fish'n'chips with tartar sauce*.
Whenever I have guest around I light candles purely because it looks so nice, look at all my food photos, I use tealights all the time... but if I do that, would it look like I'm trying to be romantic? I don't want to come on too strong.
* shuddup ! SHUDDUP ! "home made tartar sauce, tee hee". Anyway, how comes every time I go to do something unique, and I have emails that show I've been wanting to do this for a weeks, it comes up on Saturday Kitchen that morning? Happens ALL THE TIME.
