Good morning, to one and to all.
I accidentally went to Sevenoaks last night. That was quite an adventure I can tell you. Have you ever accidentally gone to Sevenoaks and had quite an adventure? You can tell me.

Alt: Freitag ist hier (I don't actually know any non-WWII German soz) - or 'Friday is here' in English. Are you going out tonight? Any LOLs up your sleeve? Or perhaps you are a tedious dullard? Do tell.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:13, 155 replies, latest was 12 years ago)
Probably go out.
Might not though.
But I probably will.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:17, Reply)
It's precisely this kind of candour and insight that keeps this place going, Jeff.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:18, Reply)
Thanks very much.
Get launched last night?
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:19, Reply)
Nah. Four pints then off home via the chinky.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:20, Reply)
Good work
Been given your name medal yet?
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:24, Reply)
My fucking what?

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:25, Reply)
I said you deserved one.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:26, Reply)
Oh yeah.
I expect it's being engraved as we speak.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:27, Reply)
I'm a tedious mallard.
Does that help at all?
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:24, Reply)
I'm afraid not.
Now duck off AAHAHAHAHAHAHA DO YOU SEE? DUCK????!!!!!!!
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:26, Reply)
Yes.
Yes I see.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:30, Reply)
Another weekend of work approaches,
Should be alright though.

There was a knob head in a Cape in the pub last night. Not even some sort of dress up larp thing, which I can at least see the point of, he was just some druid wanker.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:28, Reply)
It was probably Wilf. Was he also wearing goggles and a top hat?
Goggles are a must, apparently.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:29, Reply)
Wilf and WP are now FB friends.
Wilf was drunk online last night, it was excruciating.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:32, Reply)
Well then he'd have known if it was indeed Foggsy.
It must have been another member of the 'steampunk' fraternity.

Poor old Wilf. He really shouldn't drink on those pills.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:33, Reply)
We're pretty much best mates.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:36, Reply)
nah, no moustache or goggles.
See, now if all his mates had capes, at least that is some sort of club, or gang thing, but one chinless little scrotum in a Cape, surrounded by his barbour gilet mates was tragic.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:33, Reply)
I might see if I can find a sk8 cape.
There must be a market for them, right? Maybe in camo, with a pocket specially for the skate key.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:36, Reply)
I would image that hideous, wizened old crone Vivienne Westwood will flog you a tartan one for £800 if you ask politely.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:37, Reply)
I don't do tartan, except when wearing formal highland dress for special occasions.
I do quite fancy a camouflage kilt though.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:42, Reply)
You silly sod.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:51, Reply)
Something like this, perhaps?

(which at least has other uses)
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:35, Reply)
Ah, the Barbour gilet.
The removable alternative to tattooing 'I AM AN OVERPRIVILEGED BELLEND' on one's forehead.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:37, Reply)
Alright pigso
I see you upset the christian druid demographic
Also is that frisbee? He looks like a young conservative
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:46, Reply)
No.
Alt: Nope, intending on a quiet one tonight, quiet weekend altogether.

This will of course change over the course of today, as it's going to be shit.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:32, Reply)
Methinks today wilt weigh heavy on mine back.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:34, Reply)
I have never been to Sevenoaks, either accidentally or by design.
Today I are mostly going to Derby with a mate. There may well be alcohol involved. This evening I shall be visiting my girlfriend and planning Saturday's flat viewing and suit shopping.
Hope this helps
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:35, Reply)
Enormously. Thanks Cap!
You see if Plumdozer had been helpful like this instead of making an ill-advised mallard joke we'd still be friends. But no. Not Britass. Had to be the 'funny guy'.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:36, Reply)
Glad to be of service.
I will be suit shopping due to the NEW JOB I'm starting in February.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:38, Reply)
wearing a suit to work seems like a lot of effort.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:45, Reply)
Not if you are an undertaker.

I have a backup suit which I'll have to wear if Xmas made me too fat for Jeff's.
But I reckon it's still going to fit perfectly.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 8:58, Reply)
I might wear a suit on the day of your thing to show my support

Morning all
My solicitor is fucking shite - every time I send documents off to him he then remembers another one, leading to me hunting high and low (ala Aha) for my marraige certificate.

I shall be going to the pub at lunchtime as payday was yesterday and I need a pint or four. I am a tedious dullard though
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:02, Reply)
No sir you are not.
My solicitor is absolutely fucking brilliant. He's doing everything he possibly can for me and I can tell that my miserable case is one that he genuinely gives a toss about.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:13, Reply)
We are using two solicitors at the moment, one for remortgage and one for purchase
The one that should be easy (remortgage) is the one that is shite.

Never mind, completion on 8th then the 15th - then PANIC!

Pleased your solicitor is genuinely interested as I think that could make all the difference. Has bitch-tits been in touch lately?
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:15, Reply)
Do you mind?
I'm RIGHT HERE!
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:16, Reply)
lols

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:17, Reply)
Yeah she's been replying to my chap.
Last one 'I shall endeavour to reply to you regarding my choice of mediator within 28 days'.

No you won't you fucking bitch. I've already engaged one and as of this morning you will have received a request to attend a meeting with her next week. Fuck you.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:24, Reply)
Are we running a book on which excuse she will use for why she can't make that date?

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:36, Reply)
It'll look bad for her if she doesn't make it
Really bad if she cries off twice!
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:44, Reply)
Hopefully it'll be a strangled cry. . .

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:53, Reply)
She's violated my existing court order fiver weeks on the trot.
Two weeks ago she spent ten hours in Limehouse nick for assault. 'Looking bad' is her 'thing'.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:56, Reply)
One wonders what one has to do to be classed as "unfit to be a parent"?
Maybe time for the "I am concerned for my child's welfare" card.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:07, Reply)
She is the mother - I'll get nowhere.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:08, Reply)
Maybe, but the welfare of the child is supposed to be paramount, isn't it?

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:14, Reply)
True but her not turning up for shit and being a cunt to me doesn't make her an unfit mother, just a cunt.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:17, Reply)
I was thinking more of the 10 hours locked up
but maybe common sense doesn't come into it.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:22, Reply)
They didn't have enough to charge her.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:32, Reply)
I'm not so sure about that Monty.
My GF's best mate and her husband have managed to wrestle main custody of her husband's son from his ex partner. The ex is a yo-yo knickered slapper and they proved that the kid was better off with them rather than her.

Don't give up hope.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:19, Reply)
She will play the illness card.
It's one she trots out on an almost daily basis.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:00, Reply)

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:11, Reply)
She's on disablity benefit.
There's little point in barking up that particular tree, I fear.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 10:18, Reply)
I'm a tedious dullard, obvs.
I just popped in to say - if oversenstive Al comes round today, tell him Beckham is exactly the same as Jimmy Savile for me, won't you?
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:03, Reply)
Was he FB trolling you?

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:03, Reply)
He was indeed.
Edit: Actually, it may not have been aimed at me, thinking about it, it may have been aimed at the people who were actually seriously giving me shit. It's hard to tell with that cheeky chappy.

Morning, Catweazle.
I have never been to Sevenoaks, but if I did, I would probably have an EPIC adventure.

LOL jk I'm a frightful dullard. The next few weeks will be spent drinking tap water and crying about how much my car's just cost me. What type of stupid idiot schedules tax, MOT and insurance all within a two week period, at a time of year when that idiot is chronically skint after two months of birthdays and christmas?

Answers on a ten pound note...
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:10, Reply)
6 month tax is your friend here

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:13, Reply)
That's what I've done.
But even that is horrific, since my car is old and cronky, and not green.

Although, technically, it is green. Just not green.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:16, Reply)
it seems to be a common mistake.
Although good old government has given me a boon, as my car no longer needs an MOT. so all I have to pay is insurance and running costs. And classic car insurance is peanuts. I highly recommend it.
(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:17, Reply)
Well, it's fifteen years old, so it's almost there.

(, Fri 1 Feb 2013, 9:18, Reply)
15?
That's practically brand new.

Morning Monters
I have never been to Sevenoaks but I cannot discount the possibility of a future visit.

No kids this weekend so relatively laid back. Seeing the GF tonight and Sunday, and off to football hospitality with my mate tomorrow - which will be very messy indeed.

I've got a football day out coming up too.

I should clearly get out more.

A quiet night tonight as I'm off up to the Hub of The Country that is Birmingham on Saturday. Boozing with mates (and possibly boardgames!) then off to a football match on Sunday before returning to sleepy London village.

I am going out tonight. In London Bridge/Borough, as it happens.

News just in
The car is only going to cost an extra £15 to pass its MOT.
