But when I read it I thought it was all true, and was massively impressed with the guy. My impression of it has obviously been diminished with hindsight but it's still a very well-written tome.

That's what I'm thinking, without ruining it for anyone else, I'm 80% through and if this was the last couple of pages, I think it would end perfectly.
I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I was more aware of the political names. It's cute to see il jong kim as a boy who just wants to be hugged when "Uncle Starlin" dies, but I don't have a scooby who the chinese political figures are in general.

Two calls, one reset handset (and manual resetting of all tones and alerts etc) and about ten reboots later they tell me that despite there being 'no reported issues' in my area, there is actually a 'major reported issue' in my area which they somehow repeatedly missed, which they aim to resolve within five days. All I had to do was switch off 3G and it works, the fuckling flids.
