Well statisticly if you are going to be killed by a dog
Pitbulls and Rottweilers seem to be up there. Of course you can put it down to bad owners but it does seem a little disproportionate

but the word family appears 111 times on the wiki page for list of fatal dog attacks.THats out of 246 fatalities so I would say its pretty common that the family pet kills

Yes and I am saying that even well trained dogs can attack
so the breeds most likely to kill if they did snap probably shouldn't be kept as pets. Ie. the big strong ones

Also, Rotties/Pit Bulls are going to be skewed examples
as they are frequently kept as untrained guard dogs, so very much more likely to be in a situation where they attack

god damn, the only data i can find on fatal dog attacks in europe only goes up to 2010,
when there were 15 in all of europe and it doesn't say how many of them were a well trained family pet :( i am terrible at research
