that's novel
i just got a lovely email from the two girls who helped me and looked after me, to see how i am, which was nice. it is good news that there are nice people out there, when most of the world is full of cunts.

alt: no idea what to have for lunch.

I'm having chickpea dal soup, penang chicken bites and some crisps.

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:08, Reply)
that soup sounds nice
the chicken sounds shit
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:08, Reply)
WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS SO WRONG ABOUT FOOD??

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:09, Reply)
i am not wrong
i am totally right.

either way, it leaves more meaty goodness for you. so you should be praising me, not stifling me, man.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:10, Reply)
True.

*dal fives*
Mine's curried red lentil though.

I was planning on dipping my cheese and marmite sarnies in it, but they didn't last when I decided I was already hungry.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:10, Reply)
when I make my own I always use red lentils cos they cook so fucking fast

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:11, Reply)
Yeah, I made this myself.
Although I'm not sure 'made' is the right word given most of the flavour comes from stock cubes and curry powder.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:15, Reply)
I just use turmeric and salt in the lentils,
and at the end stir in sliced onions and garlic which have been fried until really dark, and chillies, and occasionally some onion seeds if I have them. Garnish with fresh coriander, away you do!
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:28, Reply)
I just had homemade cottage pie

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:08, Reply)
did it have cheese on top?

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:10, Reply)

I had lasagna from a grotty cafe
It's deliciously bad.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:12, Reply)
sometimes that sort of thing is just the ticket

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:13, Reply)
I'm having a pint of Amstel.

That I can get behind.
Odd attitude to lunchtime drinking here though :(
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:23, Reply)
lasagne is fucking excellent
i had a goats cheese and butternut squash one that could make a nun squirt in a pub in gloucestershire. and a garlic mushroom, spinach and red pepper one, with blue cheese.

man, now i want lasagne, and instead i either have to get the offering from our staff restaurant, which is NOT LASAGNE, or walk all the way down to the pasta place on my shattered kneecaps :((
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:14, Reply)
Why not treat your kneecaps
and get a meat one?
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:25, Reply)
i went to the sandwich bar in our restaurant and got a bagel with cheese, coleslaw and jalapenos
that'll do
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:33, Reply)
Careful, that's sounding almost like a balanced meal.

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:37, Reply)
i got a litre of water and some green salad to go with it, if that helps

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:39, Reply)
Get your office bitch to get you some

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:31, Reply)
I thought she *was* the office bitch?

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:34, Reply)
you thought wrong
i am very important.

my new office bitch is lovely and very very good, but she's far too attractive. urgh.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:40, Reply)
Anyone is attractive next to you though, you bulbous orange skank.

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:42, Reply)
This is why I like you Froggie.

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:46, Reply)
Validated. YESSSSSSS!

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:52, Reply)
Sometimes I make a lasagne out of chilli and use tortillas and sour cream instead of pasta sheets and bechemel sauce.
It's proper decadent.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:16, Reply)
Hi Gonz.

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:17, Reply)
Sour cream with mexican food is just wrong
Crema Fresca is the way forward, it's just really hard to find.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:25, Reply)
I hate searching for ingredients.
I practically had to go on a quest to find some Ras Al Hanout; I've since seen the bastarding thing in Morrisons, for fucks sake.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:34, Reply)

Morrisons Batman Begins

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:32, Reply)
Domios one

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:32, Reply)
Why not make your own? Not exactly difficult.

(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:34, Reply)
It's piss-easy, but a pain having to stand for ages stirring the pan constantly.
Someone should make a pan stirrer that isn't total shit.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 13:38, Reply)
I do if I'm cooking up something with care/love/whatever....
.... but if i'm just getting a mid-week meal on that I just want to bang in the oven and forget about 'till feeding time, then the jar stuff is pretty much just as good.
(, Thu 12 Sep 2013, 14:17, Reply)
I got cream cheese and smoke salmon bagel, REAL BAGEL though, proper good 'cus the holidays are on tomo I think so they've made extra today
still warm when I bought it.
