I've just had a Meatball Marinara from Subway
it was delicious. Although my lunch isn't normally until 1pm so I'm probably going to be starving again by about 3 o'clock.

I would like to drink with Ed Byrne because he's funny and funny people are better than interesting people.

He is awful imo. I am making cupcakes this week.
Halloween themed ones.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:10, Reply)
What kind?
I made some pretty sweet Halloween ones a couple of years ago, I covered the cake in green icing and then pushed a Nice biscuit into the top and painted that with grey icing so it looked like a gravestone.

This year for halloween I'll be making marshmallow ghosts again, they're awesome, and some panacotta in the shape of a brain.

Cupcakes
Lots of cupcakes. And my beautiful self as well.

No idea yet. I am going to look online now.
It's for my my mates kid's party. He is a single Dad so we are helping out with her birthday. I have to make about 40!

edit - HOW DO YOU PAINT A BISCUIT????/
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:21, Reply)
You blob the icing on and then smooth it out
jobsagoodun.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:24, Reply)
Awesome. I like that.

(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:26, Reply)
I've no idea who Ed Byrne is
But you can sometimes encounter funny people who are interesting. The two need not be mutually exclusive.

That said, I'm struggling to think of examples...

Why YES, yes I do have objections

No cake for you then

It'll be fine, we'll just sit her next to Clenders to make sure she behaves.
Or at least misbehaves in an acceptable manner.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:23, Reply)
I'll be very disapointed if there isn't muchos misbehaviour
As things currently stand I'll be walking down the aisle with a baby in one arm and no trousers on.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:26, Reply)
I loved the invitations.

(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:27, Reply)
Come on now, it's your wedding.
At least TRY to make it different to every other day.

I'm eating a jam doughnut and am quite messy! Babycrackface is teething and nearly bit my finger off this morning!

Jam doughnut?
Jam fucking doughnut?
Is it any wonder you think the girl in Greggs fancies you - you're the reason they make such a massive turnover (arf! at my bakery pun).

I wonder if I can score a free pair of buns?

(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:54, Reply)
You should ask to see their range of baps next time

(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:56, Reply)
He should just explain that he's recently become a father by a woman who took advantage of him while he was drunk
and that she doesn't understand him and beats him if he answers back.

He's bound to get a sympathy shag.

(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 14:03, Reply)
He's not that funny
he's interesting, but most of the funnies come from other comedians. Although that's my opinion from only watching QI, I haven't seen his 'does America' series or anything.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:17, Reply)
I did consider Stephen Fry in my list of candidates
and he's probably the best to date.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:18, Reply)
Did you just say you want to date Stephen Fry?

(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:25, Reply)
No
but if I were that way inclined, I possibly would.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:27, Reply)
I'll put you down as a 'maybe'.

hello you
i just had lunch at POD. it is sad that this made me think of you, even v fleetingly.

Afternoons
I've just finished all the photos, and now get to eat. You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to lunch.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:31, Reply)
go on then
what is for lunch?
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:32, Reply)
After raiding the cupboards
It has turned out to be cheese, ham and onion toasties. It wasn't something in particular I was looking forward to, just the intake of food in the middle of the day for some reason.

What is this POD you speak of?
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:49, Reply)
POD
is a health-food restaurant that opened up near my office a few months ago. sells things like "falafel jaffle" and avocado and sunblush tomato sandwiches. my colleague had meatballs and chicken/chorizo stew.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:51, Reply)
Well, that seems to trump my lunch
In pretty much every way.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:58, Reply)
well you wouldn't have liked mine as much
because it was veggie. i had a mini blackbean and smoked paprika stewpot and a small side salad of cabbage and other healthy things with a few pieces of fusilli pasta. does that help, POD 2?
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 13:59, Reply)
pretentious lunch is pretentious.
I used to have a tin of tomato soup and a piece of bread.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 14:00, Reply)
i've just looked up the calories on their website
health food my arse, i am properly horrified.
(, Mon 18 Oct 2010, 14:07, Reply)
Take that with your fancy food
I'll stick with large amounts of melted cheese and fried crisps.

Using my Sunday name and all...

We have lots of electricity here. We make it from all the lovely water falling down our glens. I even have a televisor, linked up to one of those parabolic microwave antennae, which can receive telecasts from the sky (although not Sky).

I just don't bother watching it much.
