If you had the super power of your choice woud you use it for good and evil?
Alt Q: Is it only gay if you push back?
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 21:14, 287 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I'd use it for both good and evil.
Alt: Only if your name is Bob.

Evening Bob.

You over your vomiting episode of earlier?
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 21:15, Reply)
Yeah I just over exerted myself in the gym.
Bit of sick never hurt anyone. Unless someone slipped in it.

Really?
What caused that?
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 21:21, Reply)
my brother was a babe and he choked on spit up
my cousin was at a party, he drank too much, stumbled and hit his head, his friends laid him down on the couch and he puked and choked on it

Christ. That's awful.
Sorry to hear about your brother (not that I'm not sorry to hear about your cousin as well).
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 21:25, Reply)

The whole Gracelands thing
Is better summed up by Spinal Tap than anything else.

I was on a grand tour of the States and got dragged there by two Swiss birds that I'd hooked up with.

You get to "The Grave" and you really can't think of anything else.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:14, Reply)

That is fantastic. I've never been to Gracelands, but I imagine that half of the men there are sporting a 'Elvis quiff and sideburns'
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:16, Reply)
Oh yes
Go there for fun.

To balance the Karma, the previous evening we saw Jerry Lee Lewis on what turned out to be one of his last live appearances.

And we also stayed in the hotel that Jim Jarmusch filmed "Night Train" in.

My old man would love to go.
So were the Swiss birds tidy?

A totally chaste relationship
To my frustration. I'm still in touch with one of them after eleven years.

Memphis is a great city. We did the Sun Studios thing (absolutely tiny place) but Staxx - more my thing - was closed.

I rarely get drunk 'at home'
Occasionally I've get back from the pub and decide it's a good idea to carry on drinking, but that doesn't happen often.

I'll get drunk in the pub happily though.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:30, Reply)
Fair enough
I'm your stereotypical english binge drinker, I'm afraid. Don't drink for months and then get completely hammered off 5 pints of cider.
Classy bird, me.

I noticed the classiness immediately when we met
You were drinking cider & black I think.

(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:33, Reply)
I've not idea what is worse for you though.
5 pints isn't a huge amount to be drinking, but then I don't know how big/small you are and if 5 pints is a lot for your size.

You'll be able to get on the cider big-time in Bristol!
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:32, Reply)
There's nothing wrong with cider and black
when it's strongbow or similar in a pub. Nice cider I do not sully with blackcurrant.
I'm quite small and a lot thinner than I used to be; I used to be able to drink a lot more, but I drink so rarely now that I've become a total lightweight!
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:40, Reply)

and I can get quite merry on a tenner. I suppose it's not all bad, but my hangovers are definitely getting worse as I get older..
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:43, Reply)
Maybe, if you do text hot-bloke
Mention the fact you can get quite merry for a tenner.

It might be a clicher!

I will when this episode of Blackpool has finished
I'm cheering myself up by having a bloody good perve on David Tennant.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:51, Reply)
Blackpool was the musical wasn't it?
I haven't seen it, but I'm sure someone advised me to look for a video of Tennant and Ralph Little covering The Smiths.

Well as long as you don't want money from me,
I'll see what I can do!
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:57, Reply)
I have money
Because I'm a smarmy git.

What do I need from you? You've got musical taste, you're into Spinal Tap...have you got a spare window mechanism for a 1995 Fiat X1/9?

It was, and it's awesome
The clip of David Tennant and David Morrissey singing 'These boots are made for walking' is better, although the little choreographed dance they all do to The Smiths is pretty good, yeah.

A million quid?
Real pounds or imaginary arse pounds?
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:59, Reply)
Imaginary arse pounds.
I was playing 'the million pound drop' on Channel 4 and I was one of 347 people playing from the start with the million still left.

Then I lost it all.

Evening all
I made a lovely stroganoff for tea, no booze for me after I caned the whisky last night.

And I'm supposed to be doing the "just a glass with dinner" thing in the week and I'm completely unable to stick to it. :(
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:41, Reply)
Chainy.
There is no one around.

Be naughty. Start a footy thread! :)
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:42, Reply)
Could do!
but I'm just watching the highlights of last nights cup match and then I'm off to bed, so it wouldn't be fair.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:44, Reply)
No, don't
football is rubbish. I made stroganoff for tea, too!
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:44, Reply)
I like stroganoff.
Did you have it with rice and spuds?
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:46, Reply)
Nope, just on it's own
didn't have any potatoes and couldn't be arsed faffing about with rice.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:49, Reply)
Did you have a Yorkshire pudding to hold it all in?

(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:52, Reply)
Nope
just on it's own. Who the hell eats stroganoff with a yorkshire??
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:53, Reply)
Me.

(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:54, Reply)
Ooh, that'd work
I might get some ready-prepared ones and do it for this and for my next curry.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:54, Reply)
Curry and yorkshire pudding?!
YOU'RE ALL WEIRD!
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:56, Reply)
Carbs are carbs
I rarely eat potato these days, I either have rice or noodles or just veg.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:57, Reply)
Weird
I did Delia's 3 mustard stroganoff although I used double cream instead of creme fraiche, pork loin steak instead of tenderloin, paprika instead of english mustard powder, and I supplemented not enough onion with some leek. Oh, and I added some chopped garlic too.

Edit: had mine with some 2 minute microwave noodles. Delish.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:48, Reply)
Looks pretty good
I thought paprika was an essential ingredient in stroganoff though? I had chicken in mine.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:50, Reply)
Me too, that's why I use it
but this relies on the mustard for heat. I basically halve the ingredients except for the mustard to make it for one.
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:53, Reply)
NO!
I'm still around - but not for much longer - and vegball is shite.

Cricket thread and I'm in.

(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 22:57, Reply)
since April I think
but it's a distance thing and the rest.

Anyway I hope we end up friends - that's the bit I'd miss most

edit: man, this is not going to turn into some internet couselling thing, Dr
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 23:02, Reply)
It can do. If you're bored and a bit low.
I can be all sensible and make you feel a bit brighter.

Alternatively, I can take the piss out of you and tell you to MTFU, the choice is yours.

Or
we could suggest breakup music tracks and see whose song suggestion brings on the tears first!

I'll go with
Stan Ridgeway - Camouflage.

Nothing more depressing than that.

(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 23:36, Reply)
nope, that would be crazy
completely unrelated, but my friend just came up with the idea of penis-balloon animals

I need to learn to animate better
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 23:37, Reply)
How does that work?
*Hopes the first animal is 'the cock*
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 23:39, Reply)
I think it would result from the misunderstanding of
'blow job'

then, you know, clowns or something
(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 23:42, Reply)
I'm still none the wiser as to what a penis-balloon animal would be though.

(, Wed 27 Oct 2010, 23:47, Reply)
then one day I will animate it
just imagine someone blowing hard on a willy so much so that it comicly inflates, then someone ties knots in it

it needs to be a little cartoony to work

Got ya!
I reckon you need to animate a cock into a cock.
