Tunes!
I want to extended my music library with some ace new songs.

I'm up for all genres and all eras.. except hardcore MC and that.

Any suggestions? (also if you can tell me a bit about the song too that'd be nice).

Cheers.

Tool - Schism
Make sure you're high when you listen to it.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:02, archived)
I've never listened to it high
but it's a cocking awesome song.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:02, archived)
Lateralus is a masterpiece.
You have to be high to appreciate it.

No you don't
I fully appreciate the drum section towards the end. Many drummers consider this to be the finest drumming in the world.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:04, archived)
It's better high.
Like Pringles.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:05, archived)
High is not the way to do everything

Well, I'm a pilot, and I do fine.
Except this one time I was banking over Switzerland, holy shit, I nearly hit a building.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:10, archived)
Banking over Switzerland?
Surely you'd have been better off doing that on the ground.

Blackbird by Alter Bridge is an incredible song.
I've whored this out a few times now, but it is fantastic.

It all depends what you're in to
But get a hold of Dream Theater's Metropolis Pt 2: Scenes from a Memory.
You have to listen to the album from start to finish. Oh yes.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:03, archived)
I've never heard of a normal, non-internet person who likes Dream Theatre.
Their gigs must REEK.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:04, archived)
Not in the slightest
There are many non-internets who like Dream Theater. A lot of them are proper musicians, like.
(, Fri 9 Jan 2009, 22:07, archived)
*shudders*
'Proper musicians', I HATE 'proper musicians'.

There's nothing to dislike.

Dreadful, tuneless, souless pap, played by bubble permed cunts, only interested in writing songs so they can show off their latest guitar solo.
CUNTS.

No-one who made Northern Soul was a 'proper musician'.

They were too busy rocking a groove and having really fucking big cocks.

Youth Novel by Lykke Li
The Hungry Saw by Tindersticks
Red by Guillemots
The Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow
Thirst for Romance by Cherry Ghost

Don't let the redneck-ness put you off
he's actually awesome

edit: oh right a bit about the song. This song was written for Todd's dead friend who died so he done wrote his song about him. Quite a few people have done 'Train Song's, I'm not entirely sure what they are but I think it's something to do with when hobos would jump on trains without paying (like on TV) and they would sing songs to the beat of the train noises

Music's weird.
So I'll try and think of stuff you may not have heard of. Rather than telling you stuff the NME have every issue until they get too popular.

Zolof, The Rock & Roll Destroyer. Mainly for the song ARGH, I'm a pirate. And Crazy = Cute.

Breaking Point.
Streetlight Manifesto.
Miley Cyrus. SERIOUSLY! Best bit of cheesy pop there is. Love it.

Oh, I don't know. Just start clicking Videos on You Tube and find something.
