I've just spent the last hour
reading my book and doing origami with one of our doctors kids. It's been MEGA. Yes, my computer is fucked AGAIN. Third time in as many weeks.

What's the last book/cd/dvd you bought? (That is either or all) Mine was Imperial Bedrooms by Bret Easton Ellis, Ornaments from The Silver Arcade by The Young Knives and I don't remember what dvd I bought last.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:18, archived)
Last book was Yes Man by Danny Wallace.
Last CD was Easily Tricked by Petter & The Pix, and the last DVD was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, though that was about 8 years ago due to OMGPIRACY.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:21, archived)
But right,
Danny Wallace is a poor man's Dave Gorman. And Dave Gorman is fucking rubbish.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:25, archived)
I don't care what you say, I read the whole book and enjoyed it.
Stick that up your face.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:26, archived)
MY FACE ISN'T NEARLY LARGE ENOUGH

(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:27, archived)
DAMN STRAIGHT!
and the film wasn't bad, if you can get away from the fact that it's as far away from the book as I've ever seen a book/film remake.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 17:14, archived)
AND I'm watching Dave Gorman live in November.
for my birthday.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 17:18, archived)
what's he doing this time?
i bet it's well exciting, like trying to find everyone frum hull who's surname is hull, or maybe he could join up all the dots on all dot to dot puzzles and overlap them all so that it looks like someone's face, then try to find that person's face
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 17:21, archived)
its basically a slide show presentation

that's truer than you know
they were living in the same flat when they started out on their wacky writing careers.

Having said that, the only other thing I know about danny wallace is what I've read in yes man and it's a cracking book

I bought the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, haven't got round to reading them yet.
Not telling what DVD I bought last because I don't want mocking.
And I don't have any favourite music, so I don't buy any. I wait until one of my friends takes pity on me and makes me a mix cd.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:22, archived)
You can have a copy of my randomburn if you want?
/picks up the hint
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:24, archived)
Actually it wasn't, I was just pointing out that I'm such a 'tard with music
that people pity me.

But yeah, I'd love a random burn. Fankoo.

(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:28, archived)
i had a book called the practical princess
about a girl who wasn't about to swoon over some fit-but-stupid prince.

i think it influenced me a lot. i am very little romantic.

she started watching ghostbusters last weekend.
that's good for a 4 year old, right?

let's see, the opening scene, venkman is giving electric shocks to a male student, who shouts THIS IS PISSING ME OFF - and coming on to a female student. for the sake of pseudoscience.

I was holding off saying anything, not wanting to name drop. But my band played a few gigs back when they were still just local Oxford boys. Used to hang out with Tom (house of lords) loads. I think i even have a signed copy of their first E.P somewhere. They are famous now, don't seem them down the star so much.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:39, archived)
I love them.
Come Saturday they will be my most seen band. House of Lords and Henry are hilarious and Oliver just looks like Paddy Considine.
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 15:42, archived)

But the Worm? WTF is that? How on earth are half of these moves even conceivably meant to hurt in any way?

BTW, you aware of the Mass Transit story?
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 16:07, archived)
yeah, i'm not a fan of the over blown people's elbow/5 knuckle shuffle/boom drop/etc finishers and the worm was the worst
mass transit was that 17 year old who ended up in an ecw match, right?

you cant beat a good old Stone Cold Stunner
or perhaps a BOSS MAN SLAM (YES!!)
(, Tue 28 Jun 2011, 17:21, archived)
In college a few of us were playing football.
Someone hoofed it in the air and it was heading for the greenhouse. I grabbed a mate, did the Stunner on him just as the greenhouse smashed, ala the opening of Stone Cold's music. There were no flying beers though.
