This is a normal post Nick Pope has been doing the rounds of the british UFO-logical community for a few years now
Opinion on him is somehwhat divided, to those who belive he was the British answer to Fox Mulder. And those who think he was a junior teaboy at the MOD who once answered the phone at the "UFO & Cranks desk" and has since been living off it in a walter mitty fashion.

For FUCKS sake, it isn't just "one variable", it just so happens that CO2 is one of the leading greenhouse gasses. That doesn't mean it's the only one - teach cows not to fart and that'll be a serious leg-up too - I just don't see it happening.

Denying that a poulation of over 6billion humans destroying large parts of their natural environment - and atmosphere - won't have any affect on the way this planet works is shortsighted and irrational.

This is a normal post it's not the panic-sell idea of the month
seeing as it's an issue that's been around for ages now. I don't see how not wanting to destroy the planet is adhering to the system. The system has different ways of causing fear (terrorism laws, war) - this isn't fear, it's common sense, just like climate change does not necessarily mean everywhere gets warmer. Ironically of course, it's the southern hemisphere that gets to experience all the droughts or flashfloods, so we have nothing to worry about in our cosy houses up here.

Even studying a little bit of geography (since, unlike geologists it seems, they actually know something about weather) will show you how some long-established weather patterns are changing or just disappearing.

Also, religion is dead? Have you ever watched the news? There's always at least one thing that is at least related to it...

edit: of course the news is controlled by the powers that be, silly me

This is a normal post Do NOT say humanity is "Destroying the planet".
You're talking about minor changes to it's outer layer that may or may not render it uninhabitable for human life. Destroying an entire planet is a completely different kettle of fish, and much, much harder than it sounds.

Here, this may help you get some perspective:

For reference, Human-induced "Thermageddon" (IE Global warming) has pretty much been debunked now. Just thought you might like to know.

I think I speak for most people here when I say the System is frigged adn needs to change.

There is too much evidence about global warming and everything else to make ignoring it sound very silly.

I'm pretty sure there's alot of info out there about the buiness's that pay for the research and the amount of damage that they do to the planet.

Our world is amazingly strong and delicate at the same time. Humans have caused the most damage and changes to the enviroment over all other living things on this planet. If we don't find ways to help our planet live then we're going to reap the consequences.

This is a normal post The sum total of human effect on Earth's ecosystem
is infinitesimal compared to the Sun, and negligable to just about any other force or influence, from within or without the planet. chin up! Worst things happen at sea.

People dying from stupidity shouldn't be something to get upset about, imo, unless of course you know the person personally. In this day and age of not having any natural predetors and chavs breeding left right and center, I welcome the occasional stupid person wiping themselves from the gene pool. Then the resources they were using can go to someone more worthy.

That probably makes me sound like a cunt, but heyho!

This is a normal post hmm, making value judgments on other human being as whether they deserve to live or not?
you make it sound like any one that dies, in any circumstance deserves it. didn't check my tire pressure, spun off the road died, died out of ignorance, didnt deserve to procreate..

That bloke did a silly thing clearly, and it killed him. Being human im prone to making mistakes myself hopefully none as fatal as that.

But im not going to laugh at him.. or feel indifferent to him because of one silly mistake.

1. he shouldn't have climbed up on the roof.. culturaly thats normal in india though, how ever this was electirc, not diesel as theyre used to, so I'm not going to blame him too much for that mistake. 2. he reached up to steady him self.. again silly, but an understandable lapse of thought that turned fatal.

There are more reasons to find this sad, and unfortunate, than hilarious or stupid

Were all human, we all make mistakes, some bigger than others.. it doesn't how ever reflect on our value as living beings..

Ive laughed at the Darwin awards..(this case doesnt count in my opinio) I dont think the proposal that they have "taken them selves out of the gene pool" is meant to be taken seriously.
(, Mon 1 Jun 2009, 17:39, , Reply)
This is a normal post also, maybe i need to see the run up to this incident
but your asuming he was "playing".. I'm saying its possible due to the fact that its culturaly normal for peolpe to travel on the top of trains in india, that is the reason he thought it was ok to climb on top, and mabe he didnt realise it was electric?

Its very easy for you, being bought up in a country where health safty is paramount to look on this incident with scourne.

Where as ide say him not being aware of the danger he was in isnt reason to ridicule him.

Unless he was aware, and this was a suicide? inwhich case its even more reason to find this very sad...

What do you think he was thinking when he caused his death?

Or hear them on the news. But it's a whole other matter to watch it happen for amusement.

The reason I wonder is I had this conversation last week too www.b3ta.com/links/317732

The main question is not the morality of watching them but are they the right thing to post on the B3ta /links board. If they're being posted under the 'funny' category (as here with a comedy meme association) then I don't think so.

This is a normal post I'de prefere not to see snuff on here aswell..
Skimmed that convo you posted there made me remember..

Interestingly it could be argued that our paper's and news obsession with muirder etc. complete saturation when it comes to school shooting etc is due to the old newspaper barons "get me a murder a day!" that kind of thing. One particularly sick sadistic creep.. he used to have a big fish tank with a removable partition. He'd sit and watch one fish on one side getting more upset about the huge pike on the otherside, and if he was bored/pissed off etc, he'de lift the partition and watch the carnage.

Dunno whether people have been conditioned by this historical preference to death and misery, or we're all abit voyeristic etc generaly. But its interesting anyway.

This is a link post Billy Brit II - the BNP pamphlet I made this!
He's back for more, folks!

Please link to this or the original if you have a blog, as it greatly increases the chances of either or both ranking highly for searches for 'BNP' in YouTube especially. Oh, and please use the tag #theBNParetwats if you mention this or anything else BNP-related on Teh Twitter

I've been told by the BNP to fuck off too, which I find heart warming :).

Also, serious question here, is it legal for political signs to be posted on lamposts? I only ask as the BNP have put one up, 10ft up, on the main junction which you need to pass to get to where I live, and I find it objectionable.

This is a normal post Thanks :o)
I'm greatly amused by the idea of his laywer charging him for the two minutes and change it'll take to watch this.

(Here, of course, it would be wrong to assume anything about Iain Dale's arrangements with his laywers... I'm just amused at the idea of it is all.)
(, Mon 1 Jun 2009, 14:44, , Reply)
This is a normal post I've silently followed all of your Iain Dale postings with great interest
after narrowly* escaping him becoming my local MP a few years ago, I need to keeps tabs on him to ensure he doesn't go for a repeat attempt.

*I say narrowly, of course what I actually meant was 'allowed Norman lamb the biggest majority he'd had in years'...

or, as Dale's own wikipedia entry puts it: 'losing spectacularly to the Liberal Democrat incumbent, Norman Lamb'

This is a normal post BNP in a nutshell:
They say that having foreigners here will cause nothing but tension and conflict. So they set up a group that by definition will cause tension and conflict between two groups - 'us and them'. Except even 'us' doesn't agree who 'them' are.

Basically, fuck off BNP.

This is a normal post More amazing BNP philosophy
"Foreigners steal our jobs, live off the state and..."

"Fuck off" is a marvelous political soundbite to quote at the end there. Their PA machine is so slick it's frightening.
