I mean, the bloke at the ad agency who set it up.

I felt a bit bad for him.

But apparently he was fired not so much for setting it up, but for setting it up and GOING ON HOLIDAY whilst it ran.

Lesson is: don't book a controversial project and then take a holiday so you're not there to answer questions from your bosses as to "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

and this email list (80 or so people chatting to each other) - including me and Joel was the basic bit of fire I used to start it going. There was a bunch of us - all keen on making fun(ish) web things.
