right big huge intentional threadwaste

didn't get in the fucking newsletter this week despite massive efforts. cunts.
it's easier to get a fucking response on this board by saying something pointless than doing a decent picture. it's easy to get on the frontpage if you've got a certain user name. bollocks to the lot of it.

edit: weatherspoons in cambridge re-opened and i got VIP tickets and a free bar all afternoon so i'm rather pissed, and i'm giving up smoking so i'm really really tense right now. sorry

MOD EDIT : No worries love machine. It's good for these points to be raised as it shows that nothing is personal. Remember the amount of submissions to the board and the newsletter. Not everything can be rewarded with an appearance in there or on the FP.

it's random as bollocks. i got on the frontpage with my FIRST EVER post. my next frontpage, the fearstar, was 5 minutes work, and i'm not sure how it got on there cos it's really shite, and my third one was because that sort of image seemed to be the mods flavour of the month.

all you can do is just deal with it. though frankly i suspect your newsletter thing would have been better than kirk and spock having cheeky bumsex.

getting on the frontpage has nothing to do with who you are. It just has to do with how funny your picture is and who happens to be moderating at the time.

As for getting into the newsletter - I personally have managed a couple of times but have failed far more often.

You should be making stuff for the love of it - getting in the newsletter or frontpage is just a bonus. It's nice when it happens, but if you make it your sole reason for doing stuff, then you are really missing the point.
