This is a caricature made from parts of Amy Winehouse, Little Richard and a whole lot of Liquify and shade brushing that just happens to look quite a lot like a certain litigious dwarf.
Now, if all of us with Teh Skillz made images similar to (and hopefully better than ) this and then we all replaced all of our compo posts' faces with these made-up-ourselves images, wouldn't that mean the Web Sheriff® wouldn't have a leg to stand on, as we wouldn't be using any copyrighted Ponce pics anymore?
*edit* Well, if my entries get removed like others have been, they shall be being replaced with this image where his head used to be and re-uploaded, and then they can cry if they want to!

I thought he didn't
Nice idea though...
EDIT:
I find it odd that we didn't get this sort of grief from the Elvis challenge and they are notoriously letigious when it comes to his Elvis-ness' likeness

they will be liable for huge fines. The DMCA specifically states that third parties can be used for DMCA violation investigations and notifications, but the offended party must be the driver behind it

I'm sure I saw a Chapelle sketch where he ripped into Prince, and I'm sure he made money from it, but it's all just a bit of fun isn't it?

I'm going to find it now and watch it over and over again until Prince cries.
Well, moreso than he must have done after seeing the image challenge entries.

They seem rather serious about it judging from the post Rob put in!
*edit* plus Imageshack and others seem to be removing them anyway...

so it might not even be applicable to the UK.
This is just thretening. The real business starts if you don't cease and desist (and then they have to think wheter they have a case at all. Thretening comes for free)

are not going to stick their neck out for you. The DMCA tells them that you might land them in trouble, no matter if it's true or not, so they simply prefer to drop you. No big loss for them anyways.

In America I think you can copyright your image, which possibly includes your likeness. But not in good old Blighty!
Blighty likenesses ahoy!

but if we all did this, he wouldn't need to, and all our work can remain, just in a slightly adjusted form that they can't touch anymore.

For emotional distress caused by their email. Or get someone to threaten to sue on his behalf.
I have thought about registering the domain names webdeputysheriff.com and ishotthewebsheriff.com but have never been arsed to do so....plus they might threaten to sue me
