# Hope this isn't too big.

FAQ assures me all will be well...
A B3tan owns this car, so i shopped it a bit :)
It is work in progress. Seems huge but FAQ said go for it under 400.

# will you 'shop
a crashed car,

I will dig out the image if you will
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:13, archived)
# Most of my 'shops are car crashes, in their own way.
(Hope this helps)

# 400k is the animation size, not still image
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:15, archived)
# Sorry;
it reads badly then. i misunderstood.
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:18, archived)
# you shouldn't apologise
what kind of person prick doesn't have the broadband capacity to download an extra 300k, and insists of being on an image message board?
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:19, archived)
# i have capped internets
stupid carphonewhorehouse aka AOL - changing their terms and conditions bastards!
(not that i care)

# no matter how lully you
are my point still stands
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:24, archived)
# and I apologise.
I can't delete it, that is a sin. And the FAQ led me to think it would be resized if it was too big. Now i know, i won't make the same mistake again. I'm hardly a serial offenfer.

# don't worry
what's done is done but do it again and i'll set fire to your candles! mwhahah... oh wait
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:46, archived)
# I have so many bloody candles.
why is it when women reach 'ahem' 21 the world decides they need candles? For every birthday?

# People like FLowerpot
who live in South Africa and only gets 2gb of bandwidth a month, and has to pay for extra, only up to a maximum of 4gb possible. But yeah, I guess that is more inconsiderate than someone just taking a second to make a pic as small as it can be....
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:25, archived)
# well, yes, but if everyone posted the filesize they wanted
the board load would be unfeasably large. But if someone makes a mistake (due to the poor wording of the faq) then I don't think they need a bollocking (not that that has happened here.)
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:28, archived)
# twat

# dave?
400kb for anims though, 100 for stills. (i think...)
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:16, archived)
# i just read it again:
I used B3tards...says 400k for images?
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:20, archived)
# Er....
For file size, 50k has always been a good target for a still image, but anything up to 100KB is acceptable. Likewise, animated gifs should be kept as small as possible, but never exceed 400 KB.

Not that I give that much of a fuck, you understand.
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:24, archived)
# i read this bit::
If you use b3ta's built in image hosting, you may upload any image up to around 400kb in file size, and the site will do any resizing work required for you. Animations are not optimisable - if they do not meet file size restrictions, they will be linked with a static image. Files larger than 400kb will be instantly rejected!
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:27, archived)
# yeah that's confusing. that's the size that can be uploaded to the host.
but not the size for posting directly on board, if you use the b3ta hosting it will resize the picture and put a link to the big version.
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:31, archived)
# So B3tards isn't
B3ta at all. It IS confusing.
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:37, archived)
# no I think b3tards is a hosting designed for people with b3ta accounts,
but isn't the b3ta hosting.
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:39, archived)
# I've not
seen a link for the B3ta housing. No wonder people tell me they are too scared to post here! Bloody minefield! Apologies once again for my error. Won't do that again!
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:42, archived)
# stop apologising, I don't think anyone's upset about it.
and the b3ta hosting seems to have gotten harder to find, there used to be a 'post new image link' under the 'my images' thing at the top of the page (cr3 changed it a couple of days ago and I can't see a post new link there any more, but this is possilbly because I am thick).

If you go to post new message, there's a link that says switch to image mode and you can upload from there.
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:47, archived)
# KittyVomit just pointed this out to me,
you just have to use the Post a new message button....
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:53, archived)
# I see that
NOW. But i had already hosted and thought B3tards was B3ta.
(, Tue 13 Jan 2009, 23:58, archived)

These little babies are addictive, though I prefer the '62 and '63 models for their little tail fins.

Very cool, your brother.

you should replace it with a 400k gif of the car that wobbles left and right by half a pixel, then people don't moan!
