After almost never choosing to take it along with me even since I bought it.
It's actually quite nice.
I always like the big versions best with the macro shots.

Has gone down very well all over the web, even at work with my mates who look after that little guy; though we can't really use it, given it features caging; which annoyingly for such a lovely shot, is not want we want to draw emphasis upon with the work we do, sort of thing

A macro is something that has long been on the shopping list, I have never seem to get round to actually getting

In my opinion, it is the most difficult lens to get used to. But once you get the hang of it, it produces great shots.

might just take the plunge with this, I tried the 180mm f/3.5 and realized it was simply impossible without a tripod. 2.8 seems nice and tight as well for something that price; sharp handheld?

But DoF is so shallow, a mere heartbeat could bring you into the fuzzy spheres.
I did all mine without my tripod, but I have no doubt it would be better to use it in most cases.

I think I will give this a go, seems quite affordable

Friend phoned me at work that they were going to the shop right then, and if I also wanted one, I'd better decide in the next ten minutes ;-)

He was probably trying to die in a dignified pose (not that Huddled-up-for-warmth crap)

I like bees, they are fluffy and don't try to sting you, and make honey.

Went to Chester Zoo yesterday and got quite a good close up of a butterfly in their butterfly house. :D

That's gorgeous! I wish I had the money to buy a decent camera :( Instead I have to get Jahled to take my animal pics and send them to me ;)

One of those SLR shaped digital cameras with 12x zoomy-ness. Bang a close up filter on the front of it and Bob's your uncle! Although there's some chromatic aberation (thanks A-level physics!) and stuff...
