# ha ha you loon :D
Fact: this winter I have noticed a strong corelation between people saying "Careful, mind you don't slip" (or words to that effect) followed by that person then falling over themselves. I was escorting a now very pregnant Mrs Chutney across the icy car park of the doctors the other day, when I said, "Mind you don't slip on this" Before going arse over myself a second later.

# I forbade Mrs C from going outside last week
she's very clumsy, and regularly falls over when there isn't ice.

# A mate of mrs H is petrified of ice.
she's basically not been able to cross a road for a month!

# i do that
my problem is that i can't see an obstacle on the pavement without wanting to jump over it. it's automatic, an instinctive response. so i says "it's icy today, mind you don't slip," then absent-mindedly hop over a pile of shovelled-up snow and WHACK! land on my arse

# I'm terrified of slipping on the ice at the moment.
Someone at our church slipped and banged the back of his head during the first batch of snows and has been in hospital ever since. He is now on the critical list :o( As if that wasn't enough to scare me stupid....

I had to go for an MRI scan yesterday prior to forthcoming knee surgery and the last thing I needed was to go to a carpark which hasn't been used for a while :o( It took me nearly 15 minutes to get from the carpark to the entrance because the ground was so iced over.
