please can we have an 'I Like This' button for replies to links. Sometimes there are some great one liners and links that dont get posted as a main one.
Please please and pretty please!!!

For example, clicking on my username on the preview pane sends me to:
localhost/users/profile.php?id=56670
... which should be:
www.b3ta.com/users/profile.php?id=56670
Yeah, trivial oversight, but I'm a stickler for detail. :P

what about people posting on /links can assign categories or keywords to them so as to make previous entries easier to find.

that opens a random link that his been posted at any point in the past

it displays the number of clicks each post got? All it'd take is the addition of a response.write (or whatever the php equivalent is).

The button doesn't work.

Complete with weevil-infested biscuits and a leaky pail to piss in?

May we see a graph of the number of users over time? Seeing as we're on 82100+. It'd be interesting to see the rate at which new members sign up.

There's loads of us that love to cook and I'd love to get new ideas as well as share my stuff.
Just a thought.

Can you make it so everyone on /talk can only see their own posts, organised so they end up calling themselves tedious cunts.
( , Mon 7 Dec 2009, 18:28, Reply)

that shows where everybody is on OT? A themometer sort of thing.
Sometimes I find myself clicking from topic to topic trying to hunt people down.
Thanks!

Actually maybe the "Length? in" bit of the above is unnecessary, I'll leave it up to you.

*whispers* Why don't you tell all these geeks with their formatting ideas to fuck off?

Could you please change the line of text at the bottom of people's /board, /talk, /links posts from "no more results (try glasscocx)" so it links to b3ta.com/search/posts/65658 or similar

I don't like clicking through the main and links boards to get the popular (yes I know I can use my internet history!)
I noticed today when the challenge opened and was at 12 posts, the latest and popular pages showed only 1 page each of 4 different posts. That can't be right?
How bout you show QOTW replies, rather than having to click to expand?
And finally! How about the reverse of 'I like this'? In that if we get a completeley twatty post, like a linked image on the main board, you can click "What a twat" and if say 10 people click, it gets auto deleted without mod intevention.

So that we can't post when drunk.

and get it to replace "ningles" with "I FUCK GOATS" and ":D" with an immediate ban? They're incredibly irritating, and I say this with full knowledge that I myself have been sick enough to use ":D" in the past.

I've clicked two posts this week, and it's meaningless

Just for when us female B3tans are hormonal.

'I like this' and the 'popular' page made b3ta better. Instead of relying on a select committee of a few mods to pick out the good stuff, suddenly everyone had a vote about what was good.
Let everyone decide what is shit too. Next to 'I like this' create a 'This post fails' link. There could could be a leaderboard per board, or just one huge aggregate of failures for the whole site. It would be interesting to see what ends up on it; a b3ta mood barometer if you will.

I'd really, really like it if there was an RSS feed for /links/popular/ (and /board/popular/ too, I suppose).
( , Fri 30 Oct 2009, 13:25, Reply)

when you reply to an old thread, you will be redirected to the main board. I think it would be a bit more user friendly to take you back to the thread you were on so that you can see your post in place.

I would prefer it if it didn't show up in the "Friends" feed.
Takes all the fun out of it.

...new members should have to provide two references from other forums that they're members of.
I'd like to see this applied retrospectively.

I can hide stuff on the board, but in the challenge entries it still comes up...
This can be very embarrasing

Ever since you don't need to type anything in the message field I've seen and myself posted a load of double posts and/or half finished posts.
The space in the message field was my safety net and you guys stole that from me. Now I appear stupid in front of people online.
