I know this relates to the 'Best Films Ever' question, but it has a little more to it.
What films would you truly rate as 10 out of 10?
I want to hear reasons for each, not just a list.
Mine will be in replies...

I'm sitting here in my office grinning like a loon.
I've just been given verbal notification of when my employment terminates.
So as of the sixth of August I shall be a man of leisure, that is if I don't have another job by then.
;)

Any recipes more than welcome.
Personally, leek and potato tickles my testes.

popular choices include drowning and burning.
There are conflicting views though as drowning can be ok sometimes...

Go to flutracker.rhizalabs.com/ and zoom in on the UK. Once it breaks up into individual cases, zoom right in on the West Midlands outbreak.
That's the West Bromwich Albion football ground.
Maybe that explains our season.

Can anyone recommend a dual output graphics card that supports hardware mirroring?
I've got a computer connected to a projector and an LCD screen. 90% of the time both outputs need to be identical, but sometimes I want to display different things on the outputs. I'm currently using a Matrox card but having to mirror the outputs using UltraMon, and doing it at a software level has some serious performance implications.
I'm sure I've seen graphics cards where you can set the option to mirror in the graphics driver but it is then done at a hardware level on the card itself. Anyone got any ideas which cards do this? Don't need any fancy 3D shiznit as it is a work machine. Don't mind what interface the card is as I will be buying a new PC to go with it anyway, probably PCI-E though as that's what everything seems to be these days.

Just to see how much of a freak of nature I really am, I thought I'd conduct a survey to see howmany non-pre-cummers there are out there.
Does your cock do that 'pre-cum' thing?

Have you or someone you care about been touched by Kaol?
Do the nightmarish memories haunt you during the daytime, and in your sleep? Do you wince at the very thought of being within 400 metres of him?
The only way to get through this is to share. Come on people, let's talk about it, we can get through this together as long as we have each other.

I'm reading 'A Short History of Nearly Everything' by Bill Bryson, again. I've read it before, and it's packed full of truely mind-bending statements about creation, the universe and life itself.
What are you reading at the moment? And are there any books you regularly come back to?

Why is it so damn hard for people to understand that sometimes people just want to move and start over?
Called the british consulate today. Was told that unless I could get sponsorship I won't be able to remain in the UK or come back unless it's for a holiday.
To say I'm upset would be a bit of an understatement.

As you all know, my boyfriends daughter is an ex-tweaker (meth user). She's not used Meth since she got out of jail - believe me I know the signs - she just drinks instead. She's swapped one addiction for another.
She causes problems with me and my partner by a) getting drunk, telling her boyfriend stuff I said to her months ago and he calls my partner and gets pissed off because she puts it that I said it yesterday. He believes her.
Last night, I was supposed to spend the night at his - we're getting into a routine - and she was supposed to be at nightclass, hell, I even dropped her off. She came home drunk off her tits. She'd skipped class and went to her friends house, then lied that she was getting a ride home from school. She's 21. Instead of saying "hey dad, school got out early, going to friends house but may spend the night" she lied about the whole fucking thing and I ended up going home so I didn't have to deal with it.
I'm *this* close to ending the relationship. I love him, but can't deal with this shit any more. I would dearly love some genuine advice, as well as some "man the fuck ups". I am depressed and hurt and keep trying to do the right thing and I get slapped in the face all the time.

I'm hoping I'm putting this in the right place (fnarr!).
I'm a new old hand - new to signing up, old to b3ta - finally thought I'd join in all the fun proper rather than just watching you guys getting it on!
So, hi! I'm here! Let the good times roll!
Oh, and a question for ya - what's the strangest place you've had to put your hand?

I suddenly realised that I am incredibly attracted the Gene Genie, DCI Gene Hunt.
He is probably old enough to be my dad and then some, and he's not particularly pretty. Although, he's very manly, and has this definite aura of power...
Should I be worried? Is anyone else suffering from this affliction, or any other embarrassing sexual longings?

I was chatting about the chickens that I had hatching out in my office a couple of weeks back, thought I'd post an update on 'em, they're growing nicely now:

What an awesome creature it is. After a special purchase on Bank Holiday Monday, I have been having bacon, sausage and black pudding sandwiches for breakfast this week, culminating in a full plated breakfast (for dinner) today. It may feel like a burning fist has clenched around my chest, but nonetheless I sing the praises of the swine.
Where do you stand on the porcine front?
also may I pimp my late QOTW entry?

Apparently the correct apartment has been surveyed but the building plans supplied to my solicitor are wrong instead, labelled with incorrect plot / house numbers.
somehow I find this slightly more concerning

The other week I was back in Cumbria (my home-town is on the west coast) From my room you get a fantastic shot of the western fells. The only downside is, there are a dozen wind turbines which have been erected.
I was telling my girlfriend that they weren't always there and muttered the phrase one can only hope to say "I can actually remember when all of this was just fields"
It was at that moment that I felt truly old (i'm 22 ffs)
Have any of you lot said that phrase?

I'm slightly tempted.

I've done it, finally.
Months after Chickenlady did it, I've followed her lead and recorded my QOTW answer. I don't like the way it sounds, but it's taken me 15 minutes of faffing about so I'm putting it up anyway.

I'm finally back in the UK after 9 long months in America, and bloody hell, I'd forgotten about chavs. Walked up the road to Tesco this morning, and spent much of the walk recoiling in horror. There were more obesities on Yiewsley high street than in the whole of Georgia, USA. I'd swear that the road was shaking with every footfall of the hydrophobes.
However - I shouldn't complain. I'm now living with my fiance again(rather than talking to him over skype every night), will start working in a nice lab group in a fortnight, and can utilise the NHS* for all the maternity care I'll need in the coming 20 weeks - so I suppose I can put up with chavs. But still.
*my better half and I both pay NI and UK income tax, I'm not some sort of scummy healthcare migrant!
