Wolverine was AWESOME
Deadpool still looked hot as well. In a creepy way. At least he couldn't ruin the mood by saying something stupid.

Which comic book/actor playing a superhero/villian would you sleep with? Or youcan suggest other B3tan pairings

0 points for suggesting V & Catwoman
100 points for suggesting V and the Penguin

Well, this is somewhat of a shock...
From the looks of it, DG posts to FML -

Today, I woke up in bed next to my girlfriend. She whispered that she wanted me to go down on her. Excited, I duck under the covers and start moving down her body. When I got in position she held my head still with her thighs and farted. FML

And even if not, the story is still funny!

some interesting stuff on here
www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/5462580/Global-warming-and-a-tale-of-two-planets.html

I can't help but wonder. If the stuff he quotes to support his article is true then a lot of people are a) stupid, or b) liars. I can believe that this is the case.

The original article came with a graph showing a significant divergence between change in temperature and CO2 ppm. Admittedly graphs can be manipulated to pretty much show whatever you want, but it's not the first time I've seen the same thing said.

edit: also, the polar bears are fine
www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/5664069/Polar-bear-expert-barred-by-global-warmists.html

further edit: I don't really have a stance on this, just interested in what is being said

Y'know I've decided I kinda like HSH threads now
It keeps all the correct people contained in one area for lengthy periods of time. That's got to be a good thing

I love cars.
I love them. I like working on them, I like driving them, I like owning them. I particularly like older cars. What I don't like, however, is having to pay 400 pounds to get the car through a 50 quid MOT.

Raped up the arse, I was.

Tell me about your love/hate relationships about cars or anything else.

Prompted by SLVA's thread...
Describe your perfect other half.

Mine is apparently the Fonz after he hasn't shaved for a week, only without the bees.

Or, suggest inventive things for me to do with my endless free time, bearing in mind I can't drive, have little money and all my friends (and the boy) live at least twenty minutes away by car.

EDIT: Thanks to suggestions, later on tonight I will be off to find a tree to climb, then tomorrow will be spent lightening my hair with lemon juice, followed by the building of a blanket fort, complete with pillow missiles.

Just quickly popping in to say hello and thank you!
Those of you who voted for my poem on Angelic Dynamo last week will be pleased to hear (as I was) that it was selected for publication - it's the second one I've had published with them, so woo and yay for me!

On a less cheery note, I've had it confirmed today that I won't have a job in September as the teaching budget has been slashed. Bugger.

Right, back to writing and sending stuff off.

Toodle pip!

SMS
My wife sent me a rude text message earlier. Well, she thought she did but she sent it to a girl she works with instead. She found it most embarrassing, but I found it hilarious, and then filed the idea in my wank-bank.

Have you ever sent a saucy text message to the wrong person? The more inappropriate the contact you sent it to, the better.

Is the HDM trying to cash in?
www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/news/Schoolboy-drowns-Thai-water-park/article-1158990-detail/article.html

"A British schoolboy whose father is believed to be from Hull..."

and then the next line:
"Nathan Clark, 14, from the Isle of Man..."

But Hull isn't on the Isle of Man. Unless they're confusing the Isle of Man TT race with a load of spotty gluesniffers racing stolen mopeds around some of Hull's more vibrant estates.

Edit: Or maybe I just can't fucking read.

Anyway, it's a tenuous connection to get the story onto the frontpage of the website. Anyone seen a more tenuous news story?

Plus I agree with the comment by Anon..

local news story
www.thisisexeter.co.uk/news/Mystery-man-pays-Exeter-mum-s-council-tax/article-1158875-detail/article.html

this stupid bint can't pay her council tax, and was complaining about it in the local paper. some mug has paid it for her. so basically she is being rewarded for financial incompetance.

plus, her son is called Rya'c. Her kids should be taken into care if she is going to treat them like that.

Manchester
I'm a bit rusty on Manchester bars and things at the moment. Any recommendations for some late night drinkies tomorrow (Tuesday) night?

No chavvy holes or All bar One or shite like that. I'm coming out of the NIN/JA gig so might be a little sweaty (although in seats not standing) but would like a place for post gig come down for me and a few others.

Am thinking Northern Quarter, somewhere we can actually talk? From 11pm for a couple of hours tops. We're old now so its not an all nighter. And one of us will be nipping off to the bog fairly frequently for wake up powder so nothing too scary securitywise....

Question about Americans
Do they go about saying "(Goddamn) son of a bitch" as much as they do in the movies? If not, it's such an cliché that it gets annoying.

Suggested by SaLiVA, prompted by Vipros. What is your earliest pub drinking memory? What was your first pub drink?

Lunchtime Showers.
My colleagues have just been out to get sarnies, without jackets. On the way back the heavens opened and they were wetted. However, when I asked one of them to go back out because he wasn't quite wet enough and his nipples weren't obvious he told me to fuck off. How rude.

Beer cocktails?
Such as Snakebite, but no spirits involved. I've just been reminded of two:

Rose Garden: Half Old Rosie, half Hoegarden.
Dog Bite: Half cider, half Newcastle Brown Ale.

Any more?
