I'm going to the pub this evening
What are you doing?

Alt: What is your favourite Colonel Gaddafi outfit?
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:07, 118 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Working, for the 15th day in a row
I'm looking after the pub while my dad's away too, so I'm twice as busy and there much, much longer than I should be.

However, I have declared the time until I have to put in an appearance there to be (another) 'wine and chips' night.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:10, Reply)
What colour wine?

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:12, Reply)
Red because that's what I had in
And I can't be fucked to go to the shop. I've had my 'three reasons to drink' for the day, so I had to drink *immediately*.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:14, Reply)
I can usually find 3 reasons before getting out of bed.

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:18, Reply)
Well, yes
But I have decided to stop allowing myself to count "I fucking love wine" and "I fucking love chips" as reasons.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:19, Reply)
What sort of chips are you considering?
Chips from the chippy, or home made chips?
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:22, Reply)
Chips from the chinese. With gravy.

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:28, Reply)
Chinky Chips!

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:31, Reply)
I have them now
The BASTARDS have switched to thin-cut chips. I was not consulted about this.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:50, Reply)
Thin cut chips will soak up all the gravy.
This isn't good.

nomming on chicken noodle soup at my parents house
not really a soup fan but she cooked it last night and it smelled uh_maze_ing

probably going to meet up with my friend to talk about moving, she said she's looking for a place too and we could get a place together
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:10, Reply)
That's positive.
Are things still a bit 'meh' where you are now?
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:12, Reply)
oh yeah, landlady and I got into it on my birthday
she lied in front of her mother to make me look like a douche
I was so mad I smashed my flower vase
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:14, Reply)
Bad news.

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:19, Reply)
she's a crazy stupid bitch
she ruined my birthday but was nice to me the next day and drove me to my birthday dinner and to my party
but still, yeah bad times, I'm just going to stay away from her
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:25, Reply)
Well if you can make some positive plans then you'll feel a whole lot better.
Are prices quite good if you want to rent a place with a friend?
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:26, Reply)
I'm not sure, I've tried to look online but there's not much online that's reasonable
the friend has a couple of places she wants to show me, may pick up a realtors paper later
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:29, Reply)
Depending on how long the minimum rental period it, is might be worth taking a place that isn't perfect
If it gets you out of the house you're in at the moment.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:33, Reply)
the thing is though
even if it's a really not that great sort of place it's still expensive
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:35, Reply)
How much does rent cost on your side of the pond?

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:03, Reply)
well, a 2br townhouse next to the damned homeless shelter is $850
I think this is ridic
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:08, Reply)
What other bills do you get lumbered with on a monthly basis?
We get hit with council tax, utility bills and television licence.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:12, Reply)
hmmm....depends on where you rent, it's likely that if you just get a room in someones home utilities will be free
but if you rent an apartment then they take care of trash removal and water, you take care of the electric, and sometimes heat, it may be the same at a house
if you want a phone or tv and internet service then you do contracts through seperate companies
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:15, Reply)
I'm still at work
when I have finished at work I am going home straight to bed, possibly. with wine and almost certainly with cake. Why does everything go to shit at once?
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:10, Reply)
What happened to make today shit?

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:12, Reply)
You ok, love?

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:12, Reply)
that's the way it works, tomorrow will be better
chin up, love
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 18:13, Reply)
I am having an abysmal few weeks at work
everything is going wrong, and nothing is really my fault, yet it somehow is...it's a lot of stress I could just nicely do without. Ho hum. Better than the dole I suppose.

Did you have a good time in Oxford? It looked like a good breakfast.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:50, Reply)
I was not impressed at photos being taken of me
I had hallucinations in the night and woke up convinced I had two nose piercings and that I'd lost one and trying to find it in the place I was sleeping and panicking.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:55, Reply)
haha apparantly I hallucinated a tiny bit
that people wanted breakfast and I told them to fuck off back to sleep because nothing was open.

I'm in one photo. The amount of breasts is obscene. Why did no-one tell me :( ?
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 20:00, Reply)
where might one see such a photo?
merely idle curiosity you understand

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 20:07, Reply)
Problem is
it didn't seem that bad at the time, but the photos prove otherwise. Ignorance is bliss :(

Photo from breakfast.
Dreadful.

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:23, Reply)
Which episodes you on tonight?

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:26, Reply)
whichever one is on tv
they are stealing medical supplies at the moment
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:26, Reply)
I never thought Firefly was especially good
but the episode where they took River to the Core planets was amazing. I think that's the one you're watching
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:28, Reply)
I really enjoyed it
but I came across the series without hearing all the hype, which I think may have spoiled it for some. It did for a couple of my mates after me and a couple of others bigged it up to them.

Playing the latest Assassin's Creed.
I really don't know why I bought a Playstation.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:25, Reply)
Get Gran Turismo 5
and Motor Storm: Pacific Rift

that's what a PS3 is for
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:26, Reply)
My mate who got a PS3 a couple days before me has Gran Turismo.
I don't like it, far too slow. Plus we must be idiots because we can't work out how to play online. Besides Fifa, Call of Duty and maybe Killzone I really can't figure out what there is to buy. I'm starting to remember why I sold my old one last year.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:30, Reply)
it's only slow to start
driving a 900 bhp Lamborghini round the Nurburgring is quite challenging

I really do recommend Motor Storm though.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:31, Reply)
Just looked at it, definitely getting it.
I was resenting getting the PS3 out of the box, I don't own a tele and if I opened it it meant having to invest in one as I wouldn't be able to return said Playstation. Borrowed my mate's shitty monitor and finally gave in about half hour ago and started playing AC, so a £300 Samsung flat screen will be mine tomorrow. I'm an idiot.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:36, Reply)
If you're going to pick up a telly tomorrow Barry.
Why not pop into some clothes shops and see if they've got any jackets for sale?

I don't think you've had a new one for a few days.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:37, Reply)
He'll need a big jacket to fit his big new monitor under.

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:39, Reply)
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt (jacket).

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:43, Reply)
passes the time though
my mate really rates Assassin's Creed. My experience of it is limited to a quick go during which I managed to run, jump on a fence, jump off the fence, clothesline a guy off his horse and steal the horse all in one smooth movement. It was enjoyable.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:38, Reply)
Thing is I've had one before, I didn't want to sell it but had to to fund going to see Fulham play in Turin.
And I haven't really missed it, because I'm not physically capable of playing it for more than half hour before getting bored. I don't know how people can sit on one for hours at a time. I'll play it for a bit, leave it, then come back an hour later and play another half hours worth. I only paid £190 for a brand new slim 160GB one so selling it on won't be that hard if it comes to that.

Oh and if anyone fancies getting battered on Fifa/COD etc, add IveGotYerKidsDan.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:45, Reply)
I really can't be fucked with Gran Turismo
if I wanted to drive realistically I would drive a car, I want to play games that let me drive like a brilliant person even though I can't actually drive like that in real life.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:39, Reply)
I thought the same
but then I got totally hooked
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:45, Reply)
Every now and again I'll have another go at Driver on my Playstation 1

The 360 is still the console with the best exclusives.
And most multiplatform games run better on the 360.
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:53, Reply)
Yeah but none of my mates have 360s.

(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 19:59, Reply)
fair point.
Why not have both?
(, Mon 21 Feb 2011, 20:14, Reply)
Completely unnecessary in my opinion. I won't play one enough to justify getting it, let alone two.
