I'm gonna mark the end of the weekend by cooking me a juicy steak.
How was your weekend?
(, Sun 27 Nov 2011, 19:20, 199 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
Lazy, I've had a shitty cold and slept a fair bunch.
Feeling better now so back to reality tomorrow. I had chicken wings during the grand prix though, kinda made it more exciting than it otherwise was.
(, Sun 27 Nov 2011, 19:27, Reply)
I'm feeling quite lazy myself.

Does Super Freakonomics have dragons blood on it? You know, in the way that a mousse from Iceland isn't as nice as a strawberry Super Mousse.

I had a juicy steak for lunch, washed down with a bottle of Tangle Foot.
Today has been a good day.

Yesterday, screaming kids, not so good. Then again, one of my nephews has stopped looking downy, and become rather cute.

What, are you related to ducks?

In that picture, he does, but for the rest of the day, he looked fine.

But that picture is a good illustration of how he used to look all the time.

I just hope the weather holds on Saturday for the walk.
You don't want to be stuck on the top of Simonside crag in pelting rain or a howling gale.
(, Sun 27 Nov 2011, 20:12, Reply)
Sounds like fun to me!
It's starting to look a bit shit on the long-term forecasts but I'll believe it when I see it. Plus I have all manner of warm and waterproof gear and solid boots so it'll all be cool.

There is that

(, Sun 27 Nov 2011, 20:16, Reply)
I dislike walking in the rain.
I had to do a 3 day 'survival' course in the Lakes when I worked for Defra. 3 days of hiking up and down hills in the Coniston area. In January. Where it pissed down. For the whole 3 days. And I MEAN pissed down. Despite the waterproof clothing I was still fucking soaked.
(, Sun 27 Nov 2011, 20:19, Reply)
Also, I got the corner of a laminated map in my eye 'cos of the howling gales that were blowing.
Went down like a sack of spuds, said eye subsequently ulcerated. Really uncomfortable experience.

We won't put you through that hell again DG.

I got a bit of rust in one of my eyes

I will therefore not be at all surprised if we get an offer for him that's too good to turn down. He's been outstanding so far this season.

supposed housewarming where we sat and watched the tv all evening. I'm looking forward to putting the christmas decorations up that I bought today.
(, Sun 27 Nov 2011, 20:08, Reply)
I fucking hate gatherings like that.
I went round to my daughter's stepdad's place once after he moved in with his new missus. We bought some weed and a crate of beer and they proceeded to sit on the sofa all night, drink beer, smoke weed and watch fucking endless soaps all night. Hollyoaks followed by Eastenders followed by Corrie followed by ugh ugh fuck fuck just give me a bong and I'll stick my mp3 player in you tedious cunts!
(, Sun 27 Nov 2011, 20:13, Reply)
X Factor followed by I'm a Celebrity...
followed by a program called 'I can't stop masturbating', which we watched in collective horrified silent fascination. As I said: weird party.

Waiting for my Indian takeaway.

If, of course, I have an embarrassing problem of seepage which I'm NOT admitting to in any way and...

(talk to my lawyers.)
