Conking out thread
If you could buy one thing in the world, what would it be and why?

Alt:
Lunch anyone? I'm not buying
(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 12:22, 178 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
A can of coke.
Because that's what I'm just about to buy.

Good answer
I'd fucking love a can of coke right about now
(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 12:26, Reply)
I now have a can of coke.
I prefer coke to pepsi. I'm well controversial.

This was kind of the point to which I was referring
Your perception of the drink is based on its presentation.
(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 12:36, Reply)
No, I think Coke out of a can tastes nicer than out of a glass
I think it is to do with bubbles

(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 12:44, Reply)
It's a somewhat facile point though.
Since we don't live life under double-blind laboratory conditions, it is essentially saying "you enjoy that experience because you enjoy it"

Well shit. I'd better start enjoying something else then.
(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 12:43, Reply)
We need educating on how to enjoy things properly

I thought the controversy was that Pepsi consistently out-performs Coke in blind taste tests
But Coke's popularity endures due to successful marketing.
Or have I got them the wrong way around?
(, Tue 24 Jan 2012, 12:30, Reply)
Coke tastes much better than Pepsi

You need to dance a lot harder if you're taking 12 years to pay it off.
You'd probably be better off sticking the extra cash you're paying into a pension scheme instead. Or buying something else to let.
