You know those supremarket marketingthings, where they say 'if you do your weekly shop with us, we'll give you some money off your fuel'?
How many of those do you fall for? It seems to me, most people have a supermarket that they like and they use that one. Or are you a supermarket whore? Do you have 'staff' that do that sort of thing for you?
Why don't they just make their fucking fuel cheaper in the first place?
Alt: Is there a difference in quality between brand names and places like Aldi?
Alt Alt: Why is everyone banging on about xmas music? It's fucking November!
EDIT: I really need to start typing faster.

I am an online supermarket whore. If you sign up for all of the big ones
you'll get offers for free delivery or £10 off every £50 every month or so.

supermarket diesel puts my car's engine into "reduced performance mode" ... which is a bit of a shitter, all told.
Alt: well, clearly in petrol. But I quite like Aldi for some things.

Supermarkets jam a load of filler into their petrol or they buy lower quality juice, or something.
The stuff's shit. My engine pinked like a motherfucker the one time I put supermarket petrol in. It was Sainsbury's too, nothing like Tesco pikey stuff.

It's an R reg.
Battered to fuck on the outside, full of dog hair on the inside, I don't clean and polish it more than once a year, and would never be able to sell it.
On the other hand, it's a diesel with 75k on the clock, engine runs really well, and it's far too good to scrap.

Yeah, it won't be anywhere near as sensitive.
It won't be relying on a bunch of sensors taking readings within certain parameters in order to balance the fuel/air mix.
Which is why mine and badger's cars are such screaming nancies about their fuel. Supermarket fuel is lower quality so it doesn't give out the right readings. The sensors report faults and the ECU goes into safe mode because it thinks the engine is about to explode.

It really depends on how new the engine is.
Diesels that meet Euro IV are a lot more sensitive to fuel quality hence they have to have electronic matrickery to deal with shit. If I put supermarket fuel into mine, pretty much every time I get about 20 miles down the road and get a "bing" and a message on screen saying "warning! reduced performance mode" and the car won't rev above 3000rpm or drive above 55mph until I refill with better fuel.

Aldi use exactly the same grade of fruit and veg that M&S do
but charge less for it, go figure .
If you want to pay more so all your fruit and veg is the perfect shape, even though you're going to peel it and chop it up anyway, more fool you.
Morrisons miles are a con as well, it works out you have to spend nearly £700 to get £5 off

See, Morrisons is the one I use
but mostly because it's cheap, and the closest, and they sell certain things taht the other ones don't. They also have the cheapest fuel in town, according to petrolprices.com, so I just get my fuel from there too.
I don't think of it as 'spending money to get a £5 voucher', I think of it more as 'getting a £5 voucher occasionally'. Usually only once or twice a year, the way I go through fuel.

Your first post was this:
www.b3ta.com/questions/offtopic/post1787218Then you posted this:
www.b3ta.com/questions/offtopic/post1787231Indicating that you changed channels before. The only reason you'd bother changing channels is if you thought you were getting interference from another wireless router. Which I'm pretty sure you were the last time yyou were talking about your router on here. Therefore, you changed it back to a channel on which you previously thought you were getting interference. My question is why?

Also, I've bought and sold 3 times around London. Every time the solicitors fucked up the financials. Twice in their favour, so I pointed this out gently and got the money back. Once, £9K in my favour, so I didn't mention it and they never noticed.
When property solicitors consistently can't do a sum that Monty's daughter would get right 9 times out of 10 you need to seriously worry about them as a species.

I almost always go to them. I've been to the big Sainsburys once but it's a bit of a trek, and there's a Waitrose about 15 minutes walk away I've been to a couple of times. Where I lived in Birmingham I had a Sainsburys Local on the groundfloor, a Tesco Metro 2 minutes away and a giant Asda on the drive home, so they were used mostly in that order.
It's all about the convenience for me.

You don't really want to hear about my supermarket shopping habits, do you?
That sounds tremendously dull.

I had to back away from the subthread when you tried to claim
that your mobile was actively blocking your wireless.
(
Kroney, Tue 20 Nov 2012, 12:03,

It might be using some of the bawidth though
an 802.11g router only gives 54Mbps max, or 6.75MB shared between all the wireless devices, so if you've 10MB coming in and the phone steals some then your laptop will get less.
If you don't move around much wired is better than wireless, especially for video streaming .

Yes, I did say that.
Which is when he countered with "I thought wireless devices block wireless router signals."
At that point I realised I'd been defeated by a superior intellect and bowed out.

Serious reply
Go to crucial.com and run their test, find out what the thing will take, then Google and see if you can get it cheaper .
Fitting is easy , usually under a flap on the base, just clicks in (clip on each end). Be careful of static , touch a water pipe just before you do it.
