I think that's had it's day now. You hungry bastards.
I'm thinking about getting tickets for Lady GayGay next week. What was the last concert you went to and how was it?

Alt. Lunch? I have a highly nutritious Uncle Ben's Tikka Snack Pot and some grapes (of wrath)

AltAlt. Watching anything good on the tellybox at the moment? I've just started watching fringe and am up to Series 4 of Dexter. Enjoyable.

AltAltAlt. You OK Kroney bbz?

Fuck, I don't know.
I think I went to see Shed Seven at Barfly in about 2002 because a mate wanted to see them.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 12:59, Reply)
Shed Seven are excellent live
Just a good laugh

No shed chat

I dont think I could name one of their songs, yet the name is very familiar!

(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:12, Reply)
You'll probably know more of them than you think
I think I've seen them live about 12 times or so, never sober

You would almost certainly know "getting better"

Tedious, middle-of-the-road Britpop.

White Lies - disappointing.
New Model Army - excellent.

Altalt: wrap.

Altalt: Game Of Thrones - excellent - naked chicks all over the shop, and something about a gang or summat.

Altaltalt: Yer - humpday innit bbz.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:01, Reply)
Is GoT any good really?
I'm working through the books and they are achingly sluggish at times, and some of the twists a bit far fetched.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:04, Reply)
Some of it is really hammy. It strikes me as a wank-fantasy written by LARPing B3tans.
But some of the sub-plots are alright, and some of the characters are good.

And ... naked chicks all over the shop.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:09, Reply)
Having read all the books I can conclude two things
a)I'm now thoroughly convinced he got in over his head, wrote too many characters and too many divergent plotlines and now won't be able to bring them all to a satisfactory conclusion

and b) I'm not convinced it was a wise use of my time.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:13, Reply)
Yeah, Ladypig has read them and reckons it got away from him and he panicked.

(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:17, Reply)
I swear down it's a Robert Jordan situation.
He'll ramble on and on and die before getting anywhere.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:21, Reply)
I'm sure the TV series will catch up with the books sooner or later
and then there'll be huge pressure for him to let Hollywood scriptwriters finish the story for him. I bet they've already got a few ideas planned out.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:25, Reply)
The TV series is brilliant
I've only read the 1st book though
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:13, Reply)
The book adds to the telly show and visa-versa, I really love them, and I hate fantasy stuff.
But the telly show is much easier than the books, which are quite hard work (but worth it I reckon)... I can't stand Bran and Catlin's chapters in teh book, but put up with them for Tyrion.

I'm half way through the hungry games trillogy and then i'm gonna do book 4; all other books suddenly are well easy now in comparison.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 14:32, Reply)
Only thing I don't like the books is the ages.... I just can't picture 10-14 year olds doing all that rape'n'shit.

(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 14:33, Reply)
The issue I have with teh books is I can never remember the characters names very well
so I find it really hard to keep up with the descrptions of what is happeneing to other characters when it's not their chapter.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 14:35, Reply)
Ditto

(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 14:49, Reply)
I need to get on board this GOT thing. I'm always late to the party.
Just finished the second series of American Horror story. Brilliant. Jessica Lange is a legend.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:13, Reply)
Could you get any fucking gayer?
Last band I saw was a local outfit called Winnebago Deal, it was a suitably loud and guitarry with a lot of shouting.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:02, Reply)
I think you've mentioned them before - what would you recommend of theirs?

(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:03, Reply)
Plato a plomo is their first album and I think the better one.
Although the flight of the raven is probably more up your alley. Bit more polished.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:05, Reply)
I shall investigate post-haste.

(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:10, Reply)
Gaga is a brilliant performer and excellent live.
But yeah, I am a bit poofy with music choice. I listen to all sorts though.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:14, Reply)
Blimey are they still going?
I saw them in Leicester in around 2002ish
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:23, Reply)
Yeah, they were Nick Olivieris band for a while, as Mondo Generator I think. Or it may have been a tour thing, dunno.
Now they're back to their own stuff, still one of the noisiest bands I've seen.
(, Wed 29 Jan 2014, 13:25, Reply)
Have you seen Lightening Bolt?
I reckon you might like them.

Alt: Batchelors Low Fat Tomato soup. I'm addicted to the stuff.

Altalt: Just catching up with AHS: Coven at the moment which is pretty good. Tried the first episode of Banshee and gave up with it right then and there. Brooklyn Nine Nine is quite funny.
