There are so many crap films on the cinema right now...
I can't understand they haven't done Ender's Game yet.
On the other hand, if they did, it'd probably be shit and I would be very upset at them for not following the story word by word.
So, which film do you think Hollywood is missing?

A sequel to Serenity
A big budget BSG movie.
A remake of Logans Run.

Ender's Game has been in production
for about ten years. It would make a very bad film because it would rely so heavily on being able to find talented child actors.

Yes. To HW&tEOTW.
Dorian gets wheeled out as a play or film when the political setting requires it.
Whenever I read a book that deserves a film it seems it has already been a TV mini-series.
Then there was Revolutionary Road which I really wanted to be a film
but which inexplicably I have not yet seen.

HW&tEOTW would have to be made in Japan though
I wouldn't really want Hollywood getting its mitts on it, and making the main character American, and the setting New York or something ridiculous like that.
There was a decent older version of Dorian Gray but it strikes me that there is just so much potential which is pretty much untapped in how to explore it

*Yawns*
Sarcasm and Irony have a very close relationship with one another. Both tend to be used to make a poignant or entertaining statement. Often times, people say something is ironic when it is actually sarcastic and vice versa because the two concepts have become so intertwined, whereas, in actuality, sarcasm is a concept that utilizes irony. In many instances, sarcasm is a remark seasoned with irony. You can think of irony as a vessel to express many things in a sarcastic way. For example, if a girl takes an especially long time to get ready as her date patiently waits for her, when she finally emerges, her date might remark with a deadpan tone "Well, you certainly don't take long to get ready." In the circumstance, again, irony is utilized to express the opposite of the actual situation to mock the extended length of time it took for the girl to actually get ready. Irony is employed, but the humor that is achieved though its use is sarcasm. In addition, sarcasm is always considered a form of wit, whereas irony can be found in any type of situation, be is funny or quite serious. Irony takes on many forms (generally tragic and situational irony) that are very saddening and in no way considered mockery. In this sense Irony is a bit more varied and far-reaching in its scope than sarcasm.

As across the coast they filed
Standing firm between them
There lay Thunder Child!

I'd love to see a remake of Jaws (!)
with actors in the lead roles that aren't as good as the three 'R's and a CGI shark that, whilst technically well rendered, completely lacks the simple charm of a rubber model mounted on a gimble.
Oh, and a new sub plot involving pollution and how that has made the shark extra big and hungry.
And more children eaten in the name of blockbuster entertainment.

was that they didn't even have a shark until nearly the end of the shoot so Speilberg was forced to use his brain and pretend to be a good director. You want to know what would have happened if he had all the special effects he wanted? Indiana Jones 4, that's what.
