Mind Your Language

They don't make 'em like that anymore, etc.

They're not allowed.

(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 15:08, Reply)
Why not?
All good clean fun, even if the second one didn't make it beyond the pilot edition as it was deemed as being far too offensively racist even for the 1970's.

Oh great, a list thread, I fucking love lists. What's your favorite list?
I made a list the other day of the top 5 things I like to think about when on the toilet, I couldn't put it in order though, 'cus it depends on my mood.

- Bumholes: Are they really such a dirty place?
- Dogs: Woof or Ruff ?
- Food: What should I do for dinner.
- Oh man, I'm going to have to use the bog brush this time.
- Isn't Wifi great?

What's your favorite kind of list?

I was quite happy watching TGB and Vipros lead up to some very very angry sex.
That's the sort of thing where they'd try to one up each other. It would start off with the usual "I hate you", "I hate you more" thing, then in the bedroom, TGB would push him up against the wall by his kneck, fear in his eyes, then she'll go in for the first kiss. Try and get her tounge right down his throat. He would then pick her up and fling her on the bed, very roughly and rip his shirt off in a manly way* and pounce on her..... long story short, the night will end with her standing over him, ripped clothes everywhere, and piss in his mouth while he sleeps.

* He'll be wearing George shirts that day, don't want to ruin a good Ben Sherman.

Porridge, Spaced, and Futurama
And just for fun, some shows that leave me cold:

Gavin & Stacey
The Royale Family

Yeah the girl from Norn who's been putting on a shit american accent
and has been a cunt for a long time.
She used to be able to sing a bit but she went all anorexic and lost her voice.
And she'd be talking down to the others in interviews because she lived in LA and had a fella who was in Desperate Housewives and she thought she was Posh Spice (as if that's anything to write home about).
She really turns my stomach. And I hate her name.

(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 15:52, Reply)
she'd have been hotter if she'd let a smile cross her face once in a while

No moodiness is cool.

(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 15:54, Reply)

She's a nasty mare through and through.
Making a tit of herself. I hate snobs who have no right to be snobs.

She says arrogantly.

(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 16:00, Reply)
How was that arrogant?
It was actually a plea
(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 16:01, Reply)
I'm only saying it
because I'm undeservedly arrogant too despite being a monumental fuck up.

she is dead sweet, she comes across really well in interviews
and it must be tough for her being pale and red headed next to the other four. I think she does a bloody good job and would like to reward her with some Atticus love!!!

I do think it makes me appear even more dippy and common than I really am
But hey ho, I'm not going to change it. It gets worse when I'm drunk.
(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 16:03, Reply)
I pick up other peoples'
accents. Hence I get accused of sounding welsh when I go back up north

Not bad, but a little bit patchy.
Usually at least one belly laugh per show and a couple of sniggers, and a couple of 'they should have left this one out' sketches...
(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 16:26, Reply)
I concur
generally their bloke at the piano and bloke in a wheelchair sketches at the end were a winner.

I will fight anyone
who trys to tell me that Phoenix Nights wasn't fucking brilliant either.

Nothing that fat northern spastic has done since (or probably ever will) is anything other than end-of-the-pier drivel, but Phoenix Nights had me in fits every episode.
(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 16:29, Reply)
I don't like it
too Northern for my liking. Peasant comedy.
(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 16:30, Reply)
Pure peasant comedy.
But the true awfulness of Bolton really comes through - how fucking budget and pikey it is up there.
(, Thu 29 Jul 2010, 16:31, Reply)
I don't think it would make my top three, but Early Doors deserves a mention.
As does the first series of Monkey Dust.
