What computer game(s) are you playing these days?
Alternatively, you could have a rofl at this; www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/opinion/2009/0701/1224249837538.html

or do a little dance, or something.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:22, archived)
I've been playing a lot of freecell

You can get a set of solitaire card games for the DS.
Quite why they think this is better than, say, a deck of cards is beyond me.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:25, archived)
I might buy boiling a kettle for the wii

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:33, archived)
Wouldn't a toilet be better?
Because Wii sounds hilariously like a slang term for urine.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:36, archived)
I can piss in a kettle too

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:37, archived)
I can fish in a kettle.

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:40, archived)
it wouldn't last long in piss

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:41, archived)
what nonsense
no one knows how to play that

It's like a bastard child of solitaire!
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:48, archived)
free cell is easy
I find solitaire is frequently unwinnable

Fight Night Round 4.
There's some ridiculous games package of 2K games on Steam at the minute too. RIDICULOUS.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:27, archived)
I'd quite like a steam powered differencing engine.

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:28, archived)
I'd like an indifference engine.

*looks*
That is a bit.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:31, archived)
i saw that
shame steam doesn't let you gift games you've got more than one copy of, because i've already got a fair few of the ones in that package

This
Besides, who wants to play 4 versions of Civ?
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:44, archived)
there seem to be 4 different versions of Civ IV alone
i can't work out if they are expansion packs or what
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:51, archived)
Yeah and they be pretty awesome.

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 16:12, archived)
It does let you gift games normally.
but only if you bought them on steam both times.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:51, archived)
but if i've already got some of the games in the pack and i then buy the pack
i'll still only have one copy of the games i've paid for twice
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:53, archived)
It let me gift HL2 and HL2: episode 1
when I bought them twice.
odd

oh, they do it for valve games
but not other developers

I've yet to play that
but it's quite different I think.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 16:10, archived)
it doesn't have any of the RPG elements that Fallout has
and it's considerably more difficult but probably yes
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 16:11, archived)
Really?
I got bored after about an hour (I'd gone through a tunnel and got radiated and was after something which I forget). I restarted the game twice as at one point I got stuck.

'videogames'

i think i might be able to see the problem here
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:49, archived)
It runs everything else fine
I believe it is a video drivers complication of which I have never been fully bothered to investigate properly.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:50, archived)
when i got it on release there was a setting you had to disable in order to get it to work
i can't remember what it was though and it's probably been patched by now anyway
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:51, archived)
I'll have a look at it in a bit

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:56, archived)
have you tried Omega drivers?
they fixed my laptop up from being completely games useless to acceptable

Stalker as the potential to be a great game
but for some reason, it just doesn't quite get there. I don't know what it is, but I just end up being frustrated by it. The battles are way too difficult and there's too much time between them, but I think there is something else that makes me give up.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:50, archived)
I just been through Resident Evil 5 on Co-op
but I'm not happy as it hasn't unlocked the game properly for me, but has for my mate.

Today I've mostly been getting very old games running on my laptop as it overheats playing new ones.
I've just installed OpenTTD, the first two Monkey Island games and Sam & Max Hit The Road. And shortly I'll be struggling to get X-Wing Fighter working.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:42, archived)
Good old Sam and Max.

is ArmA II as bug filled and unintuitive as everyone thought it would be?
i've bought it but not got around to installing it yet
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:48, archived)
Sadly, yes.
I'm at an advantage though, having played Operation Flashpoint.

Had to restart a couple of missions as some essential plot device will simply fail to materialise, very irritating.

I expect there will be user created patches before long that solve most of the glaring errors.

that said, on highest settings it is visually impressive and scary.
(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:54, archived)
i'll probably wait for some patches/mods before i try to get into it then

(, Sun 5 Jul 2009, 15:55, archived)

I was excited about ARMA II until I heard how bug ridden it was.
The bugs stopped me playing Operation Flashpoint as well.
