haha, it's almost inevitable
The only thing that has shocked me about her death is that she beat Pete Docherty to kicking the bucket

Or maybe she didn't.
Just that nobody cares about Pete Doherty.

And in comparison to all those kids dead in Norway...
There really is no excuse, is there?

Number Outdated...
He's the crazy who keeps on giving really...
Seriously though, What the fuck is wrong with people? The news is rapidly shifting towards RIP Amy Winehouse, when there's 100+ dead Norwegians who should be the focus of attention (amongst other non-cult-of-celebrity news stories that should be covered)... I'm with Prodigy's comment on this one... She got what she wanted...
As to pic? Top Stuff Sir! More please!

It is actually possible
to find both incidents sad and wasteful.

I agree that they are both sad and wasteful...
However, the issue here is focus in the media, whilst each event in its own way is tragic, how can the death of a woman, who whilst she tried to seek help, did frequently refer to wanting to die like her idols, be compared to the unexpected and involuntary deaths of the kids and people in Norway?
Winehouse's Death was inevitable, she got what she expected. The people in Norway were just going about their daily business with no expectation of being shot and/or blown up!
Dead Celebrities (Unless they've done a great deal, for many years, to help the public cause) should be a news footnote, not the main focus when there are more important developments in the world to focus on...

She's a drug riddled street rat who somehow managed to get a career in music.

Poster child for the drug fucked chav party-all-day-n-be-cool generation I always felt
same with Doherty, oxygen thieves living the dream.
In some ways glad it's ended this way to show the lifestyle's obvious failings as an aspiration.
Can't deny she had a damn fine voice when she was sober enough to use it tho, so there's some truth to the 'tortured artist' label.

^This all over.
I know some great artists out there do or did drugs (for example, Kurt Cobain), but they didn't make it their defining characteristic, like the select few.
And being critical here, I didn't really like Winehouse's music that much, but I guess that's just me. But seeing it from a universal standpoint, I agree that she did have a good voice when she felt like actually making music.
