But I really don't understand why everyone is complaining about IKEA. Most of my furniture's from there and I've had little problems assemblying them. Plus, they're quite sturdy for their price compared to the stuff they sell in other stores. The customer service is good, too.

# ask Riverghost
about his bed.

My biggest complaint is that they decided not to put a store in the Plymouth/Exeter area,
on the dubious grounds that the south-west coast has no southern catchment area.
I'm not going all the way to Bristol and they won't deliver, so fuck 'em.
(, Wed 1 Apr 2009, 11:48, archived)
# hmmmm
over here (Germany) the max delivery fee is €79,
so I got about 700kg worth of furniture delivered at once :D (the poor guys who had to carry it all up to the 3rd floor!)
(, Wed 1 Apr 2009, 11:53, archived)
# ikea.co.uk -- you can now order online and they deliver
Reasonable rates, and acceptable customer service in my limited experience. (Store-based deliveries may of course be cheaper if the store's near you. You have to go in person for that though.)
