ANd I am saying this as a Mac user;
That ANY new OS release is not something anyone should just jump onto immediately. I know alot of us here use the Adobe suite and other layout programs and NOTHING gets my chuff more than shelling out FUCK ALL for cash on programs needed for work only to have them immediately be obsolete once you get the "Latest" OS.
I've LITERALLY had that happen to me. One day they all worked and the next (after upgrade).. "Oh.. sorry, you're fucked.

OS 10.5.8 totally screwed Illustrator and Photoshop CS so I had to upgrade (I tried going backwards to 10.5.7 and managed to disappear half of my e-mail and iTunes - still recovering from that!)

Alls I was saying is... it's 6 or 1/2 dozen of the other. They EACH blow when they upgrade, for one reason or another.

you don't get Outlook Express any longer so I'm running Mozzilla Thunderbird instead and it doesn't like some anti-virus programs.
Other than that it's pretty nice - but I can't help thinking it's a rip from Mac's OSX and not as pretty.

How is it a rip? The two have always had similarities...
It REALLY remains to be seen in the coming months, I suppose.

this is probably the best Windows so far without doubt but it still lacks umph! - I can't be more technical that now :D

it's nice and smooth and runs quite well and means you can have 45binary-shit-tons of RAM and actually use all of it.
Though I've just bought a mac, so fuck windows :D

the program was a resounding success and the crash was fully intended.
what i like is when people with phds and years of experience don't check if things are in centimetres or inches and splatter probes across the surface of mars. or when bearded west country people with phds and years of experience launch a satellite in a blaze of publicity and don't give it big enough parachutes, so that it, too, splatters across the surface of mars.

I'm expecting invasion from one quarter or another, be nice ot see if people can actually let it go or not, and
perhaps do something calm and rational rather than get heated up - at.the.internet.
I'm fully expecting it to crash and burn, as with the collaboration thing, but it'll be funny to see if anyone trashes it, as I'm sure they will. Still, thought that counts, eh?

Has there been much flaming recently? I thought it has actually been on the wane a little.
Or maybe I just haven't been around at the right times.

that we decided this a LONG time ago.
THat we WOULDN'T flame, because we didn't want to see this place go down that dark and inescapable road that so many other of these types of bards have gone down...
But I am glad we still remind, as the original and the best :D
Now with that.. FUCK OFF YOU CHEAP NONCY SLAG!!!*
(*added for fun)
edit: Bards... I almost like that...

I haven't visited as much as I normally would in the last few months,
mainly through work, but also because the 'c*nt' calls and flaming gets really tiresome, and is quite prevalent. Plus some new people don't bother coming back after an 'over the top' flaming session, which is a shame.
Just thought this was a tongue in cheek way of seeing if people could be nice for a day on here, and you never know, it might encourage good posts and images to get more replies than a typcially 'flamed' one, which would really be something ;)
