The anniversary of the first ever post on b3ta. Might not actually represent the creation of the site, but it was when it struggled out of its cocoon and began flapping its damp, newly formed wings in preparation for flight.
Super sexeh fun tiem!
EDIT revised date after consultation with Rob. 20th July was the first newsletter, so we'll go with that as the first recorded sighting of b3ta, unless anyone turns up any better information.
All boards. Potential for bash or bashes the previous weekend.
The birth of b3ta
Going: barryheadwound, Dixipoos, Redsushi! Whoop! Whoop!, Dr Scunner, bilbobarneybobs, Captain Pilchard, spacefish, asciifaceofbob, Bob the mul, Prof UnderCover, Rev. Cleo, Bob Todd, rosalicious, Parmesan, DaveExclamationMark, Flowerpot (16 people).
Still the potential for some bashage, the weekend before - open to suggestions but being Manchester-based I'm unlikely to make a London do.
Perhaps a Live Aid-esque string of linked bashes across the globe?

So, perhaps one of those? Oxford is certainly more central than London, I will say that. I can't remember the name of the pub in Oxford for the life of me though, but perhaps Earl's Court may be a good place to go to in London?

I'll swap you any day. mine is a seriously broken unit, lead singer in a 1930's band who practices each morning singing through a steel megaphone and last week bought a drum kit despite having no sense of rhythm at all. i think he might even be retarded.
want to see a pic?

Congratulations, I hope you have a lovely time and that - one day - my desk will face the other way so I can come home.
Lots of love,
Doctor When.
