This is a normal post I think it's because he's trying to simulate every single thing.
Usually games have to trade off between expansiveness and detail. He's trying to make a cosmically expansive game with the level of detail you'd expect in a small handcrafted world.

Also, as far as I can tell, he wants people to be able to role play almost anything in that universe, which means the game design has almost zero focus. It's gonna be as bland as second life but without any of the batshit insane creativity of the nutters who used to play that.

Not many people know that 'mandolin' is the violin part of the mando family of instruments. So you have mandolin, mandocello and mandobass.

Mando mando mando mando
Thanks for opening a new rabbit-hole. (wiki)
I wonder what the etymology is? "Mando" might come from hand.
[In Italian, the suffix –one means big, and the suffix –ello means small. Violone, or “big viola,” was an early name for the double bass. But our friend the “bass arm viola” was smaller than the violone, so a diminutive had to be added, turning violone, the big viola, into violoncello, the little big viola. And in English, violoncello usually gets shortened… to cello.][1].

While composing this post, "imgur" told me that cats have 32 muscles in their ear.

I mean, yes, half of me is intrigued as to how he did it (i'd have taken a feed from midi)

but the other three quarters of me can't help but think that it, along with the sparkly synthesia rock band like piano roll, is a bit 'sign of the times' in that people with talent are just turning to likeandsubscribehoes and if it floats your boat, then just watch someone playing proper properly.
