Having had too much to drink last night, my hangover has just effectively removed any chances of promotion by disabling my brain-mouth sense-checker.
Having a sushi lunch with my boss in Camden, I started by describing the starter he was having as looking "a bit scrotal. Yep, it's definitely ballbagesque".
He skimmed over this faux pas by talking up the healthiness of Japanese food. When I cast doubt on his theory, he made the mistake of asking me to name "one Japanese thing that's unhealthy".
"Ermm... bukkake?"
So, how have you managed to single-handedly ruin your own career, hungover or not?

I just misread the word 'precludes' as 'precums'. I wouldn't care, but it's on an application form. Why anyone would wish to include the word precum in a project focussing on hay baling I don't know, although to be fair the application does go into some detail about moisture levels.

What weird and wonderful things have you eaten? Also horse meat is fucking awesome and anyone that goes "aww you can't eat the lickle horseyworseys" will be shot.
I love horse meat best of all the meaty treats

when Vectorgate happened?
Well I was looking for a photo to put up to show my solidarity with Beckyletters. I had a particular one in mind - the one that caused my blog to get listed as pr0n*.
Anyway, I just found it.
I'll post it in the replies. It's quite SFW ish.....
;)
*not really - it was some pics of an obese naked lady - no rude bits on show, she had a towel round her, and an anorexic naked lady - no rude bits again on show - they got it listed at pr0n when I wrote a piece about female perceptions of beauty - go me!

I'm looking to stop using IE7 as it's just so s-l-o-w and prone to crashing, especially when first starting or when opening more than a handful of tabs.
I quite like Chrome for its speed and incognito mode, but it seems a bit basic.
It it worth trying Firefox or Opera? If I could only choose one, which should I go for and why?
Also, I tried to ditch Outlook (2003) and was initially impressed with Thunderbird, especially the ability to sort by "conversation". But then I realised it has no calendar or tasks. Is there anything out there as good but which which includes all of Outlook's elements and not just email?

as in today, not online?
Near(ish) me there is: Tesco, Borders, Fopp, and probably some shitty chav place that used to be Virgin before going bust 4 times. All require some effort so I can't just go browsing. I'm on a deadline.
I am particularly looking for John Hughes movies. Today. Such urgency.

I've been on a couple of dating websites for two weeks now and I'm astounded, (although not really surprised), by the amount of guys who will not entertain the idea of going out with a slightly older women. I'm only talking 3 or 4 years older and not a decade or more. It is really pissing me off. I would be open to any age from 35 to 55 and yet most of the 40+ guys just want much younger women.
I really wish I had the time to contact them all and give them a bollocking.

I’m (desperately) trying to build a basic webpage that’s for internal work use; it also needs to have a message board on it. Hosted from my hard-drive (initially, until it gets hosted by the intranet support people) – the problem is, I don’t have a fuckin’ clue where to start or what the hell I’m suppose to do.
I have pointed this out to my task-master who said, ‘you know about computers, I need it done today’ despite the fact I know sweet FA about building webpages and message boards.
So, my question is, do any of you know of any (free) easy-to-use templates that have a message board on them? I’ll happily dick about with the colours and images, but I don’t know how to build the thing.
(I have found various templates for both web pages and message boards, but no ‘all in one’ type thing and I have understanding of the instructions for putting one with the other)
TIA.

18th, as only about 8-10 of the people going will actually speak to me, the others having decided to pretend I don't exist since I left my hell-hole of a high school for a fantastic college.
Plus, I now have to pay for a new battery for my watch so won't even have enough money to get wankered.
I plan to MTFU and save the evening by waiting til the birthday girl gets wasted, then sneaking out to meet some other friends.
What are you not looking forward to this weekend?

Dear Agnostic Antichrist,
Please can you post a picture of you as a baby with an unfeasibly large head.
If you do I will support/ rally an OT revolution to have you installed as Good King Nathan I.
Love and hugs,

EDIT: I feel a little guilty about this here bit of internet bullying and would like to point out that although he did look a bit like the Mekon, he was also quite cute.
He is also a very ace chap in real life.

My reign has been cuntish, but true, so I feel it is only right to appoint those who will fulfill their duties in a similar manner, but make it their own.
Clendrix, Ancrenne and I created HSH and when we tired of it, we abolished it. Sadly I feel Ancrenne is too busy with real life to take on OT regal duties, so my first choice of queen is thusly CLENDRIX.
ARISE CLENDRIX QUEEN OF OT
I feel that Clendrix may need some help in keeping OT in control, so I have created two cortisan roles as well to aid her in this precious task.
ARISE ALTHEGEORDIE AND DEVIL_IN_TIGHTS CORTISANS TO CLENDRIX, QUEEN OF OT.
The Queen is dead, long live the Queen and her underlings.

Today, my boss requested that I re-organize every file in the office, because she wanted the filing cabinets alphabetized right to left, not left to right. To thank me, she came into my office to give me one uncooked ear of corn. I think my boss has mistaken me for some kind of farm animal. FML

Hello OT
The more observant ones among you will have noticed it is indeed Friday. Those that are being let out from your various caves/mental homes/prison share your lovely weekend plans.
My housemate is having a BBQ tomorrow so I am going to that seeing as it is at my house. I am also going to try and learn how to play poker and then probably get my ass kicked and lose all my chips. Ooh and I'm cooking fajitas tonight :D

In a "what grammatical error grates on you" discussion, my mate and I mentioned "could/should/would of" and people saying sat/laid/stood when they mean sitting/lying/standing. He also mentioned "he ought to have done that, didn't he?" which just sounds odd and although I'd never heard it before, I agreed that it would get on your tits.
However, I've just heard revered veteran news journalist John Humphreys say "they ought to have done that, didn't they".
So, is it a crap error made by someone who ought to know better, or is my mate wrong and it is in fact correct English?

I have been swearing much more than usual lately, and often in inventive ways, i.e. jizzmonkey, spaffbadger, kittenflaps, etc etc. Added to this is a general lowering into awesomely crude terms.
This would be fine, had I not recently started up webcam chats with a very Christian friend who doesn't like me effing and blinding all over the shop and probably doesn't like me describing her boyfriend as "looking like something that came from someone's barking spider".
What have you been doing lately B3tans to annoy, offend or piss people off, or be a bad influence on?
