I shamefully do own an album of hers, but I never listened to it again after the first time I heard it.
Although she is HUGE in country scenes here, so maybe she's just not for me!

This weekend I'm a busy bee, going to friends to check progress on her new/old house, then eat curry with some old friends, meeting friend's new boyfriend, taking Nana on a march, having Christmas dinner with my pub workmates, and going round to my folks' house for a Still Game marathon.
I'lll need a proper Roota weekend to recover from this activity. Not enough lounging.

I normally ration the time I share with other people. I need alone time at weekends. I get some through the week as well, but you're thinking about work and stuff then aren't you.
Even though they're all mostly things I wouldn't mind doing, it's not in a small enough dose this weekend!

Last weekend was a good balance of seeing people, sleeping in, bf time and lounging about in jarmers playing with Lego until 2.30pm.
I also like weekends where I don't see a soul from Friday night until Sunday afternoon.

I can't say me fave song, it all depends on my mood, I quite like that "True Colours" one though, by cindy lawpa, or maybe Kiss the Rain, or that "I'm a bitch" one, or that Des'Re one "Gotta be". I haven't heard any Gabrielle in ages, I like her too. But somtimes I'm in the mood for some heavy metal so I like Offspring too.

My blog has been linked on a very good website. I didn't know how this happened, but found out it's because one of the people who runs it (who writes for the Guardian!) read it and decided he wanted to put it up. He is also interested in cross-posting stuff I've written in future. Also, the band I stole the name of the blog from sent me a message to say they like it. This has made me stupidly happy.
EDIT: It was on here liberalconspiracy.org/ . You can't see it now though, which is why I'm linking. Oh yeah, and a journo from Standpoint saw something I was getting righteously annoyed about on Twitter the other day, read the blog and asked to interview me for an article she's writing. I think she might just want to get in my knickers though.
Alt: The Disappointed might be coming over this morning, then it's work today and tomorrow, but on Sunday I am going to my godson's christening. This means an opportunity to get shitfaced with my favourite relative, my cousin Thom (godson's dad). Yay.

I'll be really interested if there is a clash in opinion, and letting people just roll with it and see how that goes. The only types of things I don't really want to see on there is "[b3tan] is this/that/other", because it would alienate any readers who aren't from b3ta. I also don't wanna see any NSFW stuff or iligel stuff on there eaither though (eg, "blah blah's a peado").

It's a fucking brilliant record, and mind-bendingly rare. It took me 20 years (I did do one or two other things during that time, though) to find a copy and mine's a bootleg.
My parlous finances are really getting me down. Basically my life’s a piece of shit and it’s only by extravagance and high living that I am able to momentarily distract myself from this fact. I’m broke so it’s ‘slap in the face by reality’ time again. It’s probably good for me but it fucking well doesn’t feel like it. I was going to do some mushrooms tomorrow night but in my current state a bum trip is almost a foregone conclusion.

Big bulbous wine glasses up to half full of wine (depending on the glass) float. Which makes the bath and glass of wine combination even better.
Works with red, I can't imagine it would be so nice with white. Not that white is actually wine.
