Aw you beat me to it newbie : (

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 7:51, Reply)
Sorry ;]
It's been a slow morning in work and I need something to occupy my time
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 7:59, Reply)
You mean n00b
It's too early for this question, some cunt needs to moan about something first, and then we have to get luncheon plans out of the way before broaching ones weekend plans.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 7:59, Reply)
You say tomato and I say tomato.

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:08, Reply)
Too early?
I agree with that, but I'm already nearlly half way through my working day, been in since 5am =[ can't wait to finish and get to the pub
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:18, Reply)
What do you do?

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:19, Reply)
Nothing at the moment
as there's no work on, but I'm a printer for a plastic card company. If you recieve any AA membership letters, or any TV licensing documents, chances are I've printed it
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:22, Reply)
By hand with your own John Bull?

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:24, Reply)
Sure do
Built up my wanking stamina no end
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:25, Reply)
It's my fackin' birthday init.
Nothing today or tonight, I'm off to bed in a sec as after Wednesday's carry on my body clock is tres fucked.

Tomorrow into town, buy new trainers, pretend to give a flying one about our game against Blackburn and then party like it's 1999 for my 20th. Also at some point this weekend I need to punch the girl who's messed me around for the last month and a half in the head because she's left me right miserable.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:01, Reply)
I'm not surprised she's phoned the police about her creepy stalker

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:05, Reply)
Happy Birthday Barry!
I remember when I was 20.....just about.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:10, Reply)
Happy birthday kiddo
You could get together with the Blackburn fans and reminisce about when Roy Hodgson managed each of your clubs, and how sure you all were that he'd go on to manage England and certainly wouldn't end up trying to keep an absolute farce of yo-yo club afloat.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:14, Reply)
Oh Darth
you *wish* Forest were in our position.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:13, Reply)
When I was 20, there were no computers to fuck around on.
I'm glad times have changed.

Happy birthday.

Happy birthday our kid
Do I know of this girl?
Do I need to slap you?

Since when were people born in the 90s adults !!!!!

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:36, Reply)
Every year I see the freshers list and feel a little more like someone off Jackanory

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:40, Reply)
This is exactly why I'm jacking in the Uni dance competitions after tomorrow
I can't cope with hanging out with quite so many people in their late teens. I've got a creeping suspicion that on tonight's drive someone is going to listen to my playlist and ask me who Terrorvision are
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:48, Reply)
*googles instead of asking*
*still mystified*
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:02, Reply)
I'll let you off as I have no idea if they sold in Australia
or even outside of the UK
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:06, Reply)
I met them and had a drink with them at the Sunderland Uni bar
Nice chaps

I quite enjoyed their bit at Glasto a few years ago

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:16, Reply)
This was before they got signed
it's possible they improved with practice. Still cunts though.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 10:22, Reply)
Odd, I put a Terrorvision song on the CD I've made for the Epic Drive Up North
Perseverance, in case you were wondering.

Anyone not old enough to have been grounded in the classics (specifically Back to the Future at the cinema) is a child
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:42, Reply)
I was almost 5 when it came out
but I didn't get to see it in the cinema. So I don't know if I am a child or not. Worst part about working in a uni is seeing a fabulously hot girl and then becoming aware she was born in the 90's
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:30, Reply)
My thoughts exactly.

IBS
When I find the culprit (take your pick from aubergine, four Rocky Robins in a row, two glasses of wine, my mate's mum's shepherd's pie, or the baby plum tomatoes) I will punch it in the face.

(It is evident that the culprit here is me.)
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:39, Reply)
I too have IBS
It's propper shit init (no pun intended) I find warm fizzy drinks and veg set me off the worst, with cereal coming in a close second.

I find all my favourite stuff does it

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:42, Reply)
That's the worst part
Whenever I go the pub, I have to check the beer is seriously cold before I can drink, or I'll spend more time in the scummy gents than ant the bar =[ and bread, I love anything to do with some fresh bread and nice butter, funnily enough it makes ya go the loo alot even if you don't suffer, so this is my vice I think =[

Shurrup about bread and butter

I sppoke to the res manager about maybe getting moved but there's no possible way of it happening until next semester, which is fair enough, but shit at the same time.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:47, Reply)
Is my drowning suggestion nearing acceptability?
You could send the boys round. And by "the boys", I mean Chompy and Monty

Alternatively, they'll have to stop clubbing when they run out of money
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:50, Reply)
nah these are RICH kids. seriously. they all have the name brand clothes on all the time.
I don't think it'll happen soon.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:57, Reply)
Maybe you could house share with like-minded folk, (those who prefer to study), soon?

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:58, Reply)
kinda locked into a contract here.
Mum's paid the full amount for me to stay here on res so I'm a bit stuck. I've put my name down on the list to be prioritized to be moved if someone else moves out or has to leave from one of the quieter buildings.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:04, Reply)
Have you thought about speaking to your tutors?
I would imagine a 'quiet' word from them would shake up your site manager a lot more than complaints from whining students (no offence).
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:09, Reply)
I've got a letter from the on campus doctor to put in with my application.
So hopefully that will help a lot with getting me moved. It's no offence taken - normally I wouldn't mind but I'm not very well at the moment and one of the key things that helps me get better is good sleep - and my doc has agreed with me on this so it should help.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:28, Reply)
if my experience was anything to go by
there will be plenty of people leaving and moving, so you'll get to move and probably soon.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:09, Reply)
Then you must mug them
Repeatedly and systematically, until they are too scared to leave the flat, and too poor to do anything in the outside world.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:59, Reply)
Maybe you could do a little branding of your own?

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:00, Reply)
Morning!
No plans for tonight, unless Shaz comes over. (which is a maybe)
Might go and see my Dad tomorrow, want a proper sit down with him, not seen him properly since Christmas.
Sunday, the match, then either drinking to celebrate, or forget.

Quiet one for you fella?
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:40, Reply)
Sure is
Unbelievably skint this month, used the last of my wages to re-tax my car, and now can't afford to fuel the bastard, oh the irony. Just gonna be a CoD weekend I think while it's double points, and free. Going on another bike trek in the morning though, should be fun.

How's Shaz coming along, slowly chipping away?
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:42, Reply)
Cool cool, biking same way as last weekend?
Aye, still working on it, time will tell if anything comes of it.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:44, Reply)
Hang on.
Is he a mate of yours? You do that printing malarky too?
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:45, Reply)
Aye, we work in the same industry, but for 'competing' companies
Not that either of us actually gives a shit.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:51, Reply)
'competing'
Ha, lets face it, your company could never compete with ours, not that it matters as neither of us are owners so who cares which is ahead of the other.

And we work in the same industry, but have completely different jobs, our industries are making plastic cards, but neither of us have anything to do with the creation of plastic cards really
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:56, Reply)
Aye, I know, I was quoting Nicholls, the rubber faced bastard, haha

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:59, Reply)
Sort of
Slightly different route this time I imagine, explore somewhere new.

Aye keep chipping at it, it'll be worth it in the long run

If you started after me I'm gonna be gutted, I'm here 'til 2 =[
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:46, Reply)
Only 8am.
Just had the wages to do. There is other things I can be getting on with but they can wait till Monday. I'm having a half day.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:51, Reply)
Heading to DG & Tourettes?

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:52, Reply)
Correct.
Every time I go there it's like putting on a comfy pair of slippers.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:53, Reply)
I am rather jealous, I must admit.

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:00, Reply)
I am shoehorning myself into their night out tomorrow!

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:56, Reply)
You're going to have to be more rude than that to survive on here. *laughs*

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:57, Reply)
And all the while you're saying I have to be nice?
How is this fair?
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 8:59, Reply)
Because you take advantage of my sweet nature.

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:03, Reply)
Speaking of your sweet nature.
I have the scarf you gave me hanging up in my room. It really brightens up the otherwise Prison-like interior :D

Cheers me up every time I see it.

I would have thought Ann Robinson could turn even Calum Best.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:10, Reply)
Wouldn't have done me any good to plow her
Such a claim would doubtless have been met with a barrage of "POIDH" responses, even though I really doubt anyone actually wants to see that
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:11, Reply)
Or that a camera would survive

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:12, Reply)
Plus, there's have to be so much vaseline on the lens of the camera
that there wouldn't be any left to lube up the rancid old hag, and Darth would have to go in dry.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:14, Reply)
I cannot compose an entertaining response to this
as I'm trying SO hard not to be sick
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:15, Reply)
Whilst my memories of that day, and of meeting La Robinson, are uniquely pleasant ones
even I find this post abjectly abhorrent. I am impressed.

Hahahaha

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:07, Reply)
WOOO!
I finish at around 12, then have to go buy a few things, so hopefully the traveling b3tans won't be at mine until 12:30-1:00 ish.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:07, Reply)
well, just for a change I thought I might sit at home with mr b3th and watch telly
then go out to a boot sale at some ungodly hour of a Sunday morning, spend the rest of the day asleep, then pub quiz on Sunday night.

We know how to live it up, we do.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:05, Reply)
Sounds divine.

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:06, Reply)
I am off work so I shall be sleeping lots.
I did my grocery shopping yesterday so hopefully I will not have to step outside for 48 hours.
I am all peopled-out this week.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:14, Reply)
I shall be spending all weekend in a confined space with a group of people.
But I am happy about this.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:25, Reply)
I've done that all week
so solitude is the way forward now!

Birmingham - West Brom on Saturday
So Saturday evening and most of Sunday in Casualty, I suspect.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:08, Reply)
Tonight I drive a minibus full of students to Blackpool
the only silver lining in this is that I have composed a playlist for the journey entitled "you fucking drive then", which will also be my response whenever some 19-year-old fucktard in a Jack Wills hoody asks if he can put his dubstep mix on instead.

Tomorrow I have to endure yet another fucking Ballroom competition, with the added bonus of Oxford and Cambridge competing and flooding each category with overqualified dancers and flouting rules as regards basic choreography as they see fit. Then we'll go to the Flying Handbag and gay it up big style.

Sunday I drive back and collapse in a heap.

At this moment in time, I wish I was Mr B3th.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:10, Reply)
I really hope the Flying Handbag is the real name!

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:12, Reply)
It is.

He really doesn't help himself, does he?
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:13, Reply)
I refer you to my post yesterday about it being far, far too late
(it's on the popular page)

As it happens the Flying Handbag is both gay as tits and enormously good fun, so I make no pretensions
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:15, Reply)
Are you saying you'd like a slice of my sister-in-law?

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:12, Reply)
I think he's angling for a "go"

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:14, Reply)
I like the playlist title
do I sense that you are becoming disillusioned with the world of competitive ballroom dancing?
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:12, Reply)
Yes. Yes you do.
I am to enthusiasm for competitive Ballroom as Chompy is to consensual sex. I'm trying very hard not to take the whole thing seriously, as the judges clearly don't consider doing so to be important, but I'm intrinsically very competitive and can't bring myself to regard it as "just a bit of fun"
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:18, Reply)
a lot of men wish they were mr b3th

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:12, Reply)
I'm sure they do
I refer solely to your weekend plans, but I'm sure you're fabulous
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:18, Reply)
and I'm sure you're a raging muff-hound
so that's fine.

I'm in a great mood this morning, not sure why if I'm honest.

The weekend involves dinner with the misses tonight, finishing the bathroom and buying a car tomorrow and bozzy Sunday lunch on Sunday, good times.

Going to the British Museum on Saturday
but I've double booked myself on Saturday evening. Dislike. Not sure of plans for Sunday but if I have my way it will involve lots of sleep.

I have been up since 5am today and watched Clerks. It was meh

sleeping is not a waste
I could quite happily list sleeping as one of my hobbies
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:27, Reply)
Me too.
It's not convenient for other people though. I fall asleep mid conversation. It's not narcolepsy, I just need to sleep when I need to sleep.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:33, Reply)
Set my alarm for 9. Woke up on the dot at 8. Not happy.

You've only DOUBLE-booked yourself? That's nothing
A friend of mine announced on facebook yesterday that she'd managed to schedule the vet, optician, estate agent, and a parent (she's a primary teacher) all for exactly the same time. Now that takes talent.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:19, Reply)
That's impressive, I just don't have those kinds of responsibilities!

(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:31, Reply)
I'm going to London this weekend
because it is my niece's first birthday so everyone is descending on my brother's new house.

If you want any advice on how to survice the big city then gaz me, I know what you West country folk can be like.

I like London, and have the ability to consult a wall-mounted tube map without stopping so I'll be fine.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:20, Reply)
Is it that house I saw in the photos?
Or was that the one he was selling?
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 9:19, Reply)
I don't recall probably, but
I think I showed you the one he was selling.

No! I don't like to tell tales.
They've had a treat and are now asleep on their beds.

I'd love to. *grins*
Not really mine though. They are my parents but I take them for lots of walks and look after them sometimes.

Wait I forgot, I'm off down Wimbledon dogs tomorrow!
I shall mainly be wearing tweed and brogues, I think I'll fit in just fine.

Well, that too.
But Button Mash looks awesome. I'll just have to wait until next month and hope the move to a Friday is permanent. Although I just remembered I'm working the first Friday of next month. OK, just until May then *sobs*

If 'Button Mash' is anything other than a Streetfighter/Tekken themed clubnight
I'll be very disappointed.

It pretty much is.
Let me get up and I will be able to explain more. Typing on phone is too slow.

EDIT: Here's the details from the last event. Tonight's is the same, but they have bands on as well as DJs: bit.ly/dQgqDB
