20 years ago tomorrow.
I had my first ever driving lesson. 8 more one hour lessons and two tests later, I'd passed.

What do you look back on and think 'Christ! Was it really 'that' long ago?

It's beyond me how it was two years ago I was in Rome.
It seems like yesterday. Luckily in less than a month I will be in Krakow, Poland doing much of the same.

Alt: I am beyond happy at the moment, in fact it's the happiest I've been in ages. Been transferred to the course I wanted to do, I've got not one but two amazing work placements sorted for next summer, and guess fucking what, one of them's at Fulham FC. I'll be working in the brand marketing department. I could laugh manically at how happy I am. Only downside is I still have no ID and my mates are currently out getting trollied and I'm stuck here.

That's top news Bazza.
Of course, you know you'll have to avoid getting a banning order now.
(, Thu 22 Sep 2011, 22:25, Reply)
My mum found a ban letter that my mate received and gave me a copy of at a home game (because the way it was phrased was funny as fuck) and phoned me yesterday and went mental.
It's hard explaining that it's fine because it was a mate being an idiot and not you, doesn't exactly show that the people I knock around with are of sound mind.
Seriously though I am absolutely buzzing.

Delighted for you.
As I'm sure will come as no surprise, I know a fair number of people who've fallen foul of the footballing authorities and are no longer welcome at games.
(, Thu 22 Sep 2011, 22:40, Reply)
My other mate got a ban from the club.
But he lives right by the training ground in a massive house so his parents take in foreign academy kids on trial etc for a few weeks whilst they train with the club, they get paid loads for it. Anyway, these foreign kids get given tickets for games and they don't give a toss about going, so my mate got them to pass them onto him cos he couldn't buy them anymore. He never got caught but I really wish he did, would love to have seen him when the club ask how he got in and he tells them their next potential wonder striker got him free tickets.

Right, fuck this.
I refuse to sit indoors whilst everyone else is having fun. I'm necking shit vodka for the next ten minutes and then jumping on the metro to town in ten minutes. Toodles.

I can't justify being awake for much longer
I suppose I must sleep again only to wake and work and continue this on repeat from now until the end of time. Or half term. Whichever.

I loved that show
the one where they got replaced was a bit worrying.

And the one about building a drystone wall in order to qualify as a security guard.

It's a bit blurry, I was often drunk when I watched it.
(, Thu 22 Sep 2011, 23:21, Reply)
it was on pretty late if I recall.
I seem to remember the DVD wasn't that expensive, and it's worth a watch, just for the memories.
(, Thu 22 Sep 2011, 23:37, Reply)
I too loved this show when it was on.
I suspect I would be sorely disappointed if I saw it again though.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 9:05, Reply)
I'm another one
I've been doing the "nobody here but us chickens" thing for years and there was only one person who knew what I was going on about. It's been years since I saw it, I vaguely remember an episode with a vampire.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 9:09, Reply)
School.
7 years ago, I was starting 6th Form. This is very odd to me.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 8:40, Reply)
Oh yeah, make me feel ancient why don't you
11 years ago today I got married. It was a make-do tight budgeted affair and we always said we'd renew our vows with Elvis in Vegas or something later on. Still haven't got around to it, stupid money-draining kids and mortgage.

I think it is very odd to a lot of us AA, who 7 years ago were still more than 7 years out of school. Curse you and your youth.

I'm going to a school reunion soon.

I left school 35 years ago.

*weeps*
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 9:23, Reply)
Either 51 or 53?

(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 9:26, Reply)
I wouldn't go to a school reunion if you paid me
Unless the people paying me were an assassin's guild, who also provided a huge amount of enromously cool and unstintingly effective weaponry and had paid off the police to turn a blind eye to the massacre of 113 utter cunts.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 9:27, Reply)
I'm guessing that school is no longer there....?
Or at the very least, is now an academy with a new name.
(, Fri 23 Sep 2011, 9:31, Reply)
School's no longer there
It's a 'business park'.

Oh yeah - 51 - I left at 16.
