After I discovered there was a Dodi/Diana shrine in harrods, I posted something disparaging on fb
Some b3tan boys joined in and said typical b3ta things, and another girl I used to work with handed them their arses on a plate.

Quite funny, actually.

(, Sat 15 Oct 2011, 21:51, Reply)
Why not write to 'Call me Dave'
And suggest that all they need to do when civil unrest is about to start with the youth, they pay DOD to tour. The streets will be full of blue-rinse defenders.

They are bound to be cheaper than the police, and bar the odd replacement hip, a small drain on our resources.

You know it's well over ten years since Cliff Richard had a number one single

(, Sat 15 Oct 2011, 22:09, Reply)
Surely Cilla sold out by fucking off 'down south'?

(, Sat 15 Oct 2011, 22:11, Reply)
She sold out by being shit, being a slag, having a gerbil face and trying to reverse the effects of her elocution lessons
thus leading the world to think hers is a scouse accent.
We say 'air and Clair, not hur and Clur.

See also Ringo. He's a knob cos he's a knob, NOT because he moved away.
Macca moved away but we don't hate him. You'd have to do some serious commuting if you wanted to make a living as Paul McCartney AND live in Liverpool's suburbs.

I don't know do I.
Before Christmas, after Christmas. I dunno.

I might be heading back to Edinburgh for a few days in the next couple of weeks.

Passport arrived Wednesday, match ticket turned up yesterday.
Game sold out ages ago but you know me Jeff, I've got more connections than a dangerously overused extension cord. I actually cannot wait, plus we're going to Auschwitz the morning we get there which I'm looking forward to/dreading. That sort of thing fascinates me, we were going to go the morning of our flight back, but we realised going somewhere as humbling as that probably isn't the best idea when you've been awake/caning it for three days and are close to wanting to killing yourself anyway.
(, Sat 15 Oct 2011, 21:58, Reply)
Make sure you don't let yourself down in Auschwitz.
Rest of the time, knock yourself out like.

(, Sat 15 Oct 2011, 22:10, Reply)
I don't think it's somewhere you'd say you'd "like" to go
But I think I'd want to go one day. Just to see.

Because my birthday sometimes falls on Rememberance Sunday I want to go the Menin Gate on a birthday sunday too, for the people who never even made their 18th.

(, Sat 15 Oct 2011, 22:17, Reply)
It is the most disgusting place in the country.
Although don't get me started on shit cities as I'll be here all day, my housemates get endless joy out of going "yeah Blackburn's quite a nice place to live" within my earshot and then watching me go on a rant as to why Blackburn and another thirty odd cities are hellholes.
(, Sat 15 Oct 2011, 22:19, Reply)
If you want to venture to the West Country and tell us why it's shit, you'll be more than welcome...

If you want to come to Bradford
I'll show you why it's shit before you've had chance to form an opinion.

The worst thing about Stoke is the feeling of hopeless, existential despair you start to get if you spend more than twenty minutes there.
The only similar place I've been to in England is Newark, but even so it's not that bad.
