Let's have a thread that doesn't mention Chompy & swipe for a change.
Talk about anything, salted peanuts, car tyres, IT, anything apart from that.

I'd like to have a rant, if thats ok
I've just driven 120 or so miles up to Edinburgh, missing out on Friday Peroni so install a new accountancy package on a server.... to find that someone else is connected on remotely and removing software as quickly as I am installing it

THE FUCKING CUNTS
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 12:52, Reply)
Kick them and disable remote access?

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 12:52, Reply)
This makes sense. Surely you'd disable the remote access before starting the install anyway?

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 12:56, Reply)
Not if you are installing via a remote desktop

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 12:56, Reply)
Why travel to Edinburgh if you're installing it that way?

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 12:57, Reply)
Needed to bring the stuff on a USB disk as their internet connection is shite

How's you?
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:12, Reply)
Yeah. Okish. Micro is on great form and seems settled now she has a routine with me and her mother.
Work is a little quiet but that's a time of year thing.
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:20, Reply)
Glad to hear all is well with Micro.

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:27, Reply)
I'm sure she would love to see you.

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:28, Reply)
I'd like to see her soon (and you too)
Lets work out a Sunday jaunt or something.

I'm going to be a smoking cessation counsellor
which is exciting. And, considering I've never smoked a puff of anything in my life, a bit bizarre.
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:09, Reply)
Wtf?

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:09, Reply)
I know, rite?

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:12, Reply)
You should take up smoking and then give up, in order to gain an insight into what your counsellees are going through.

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:12, Reply)
If I wanted to know that, I could try giving up Diet Pepsi.
They'll have to claw that can out of my cold, dead hand.
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:13, Reply)
I bet you've smoked the cock once or twice

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:15, Reply)
How would one even do that?

Last weekend before job starts, gonna spend it chilling.
In bent news, I'm looking after a chihuahua from chihuahua club tonight, so that'll be 4 tiny dogs in my house.
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:36, Reply)
Mate of mine has just got a pug/ spaniel cross. Very cute. When micro is older and if work permits I will get a boxer I think. Need a lot of training but good family dogs apparently.

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:37, Reply)
I would recommend any time anyone gets a puppy, take a week off in the prime training time,
Spend the week doing some good training and I reckon you'll be alright.
We did with the first 2 and they're fine, 3rd one has been more of a handful as we've tried to fit training around work.
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:40, Reply)
That makes sense.

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:42, Reply)
Also, it's a good excuse to spend afternoon in the pub "socialising the dog"

But it's always dull.
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:41, Reply)
Quite a lot of the boozers around here have it, only about £3.80 a pint as well which is cheap for London.

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:43, Reply)
Nice.
Oxford is creeping slowly towards 5quid a pint.
(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:47, Reply)
Some places here are already over that for premium ones like draft Peroni. Stupid. No wonder more people are drinking at home instead of going out.

(, Fri 8 Nov 2013, 13:52, Reply)
Before long all pubs are gonna go the Wetherspoons route and not throw anything out once it's out of date,
just reduce it and hope that a load of pissed-up cunts who are gonna be throwing up later anyway don't notice that it tastes rank
