saying, for example, "maths homework" doesn't roll off the tongue nearly as well

Plus there's the fact that you don't say "histories" even though there's clearly more than one facet of history study, just as there are multiple branches of mathematics. Just doing my histories homework.
Actually, to my American ears, that would sound remarkably English...

i think we're finally starting to get over the fact that people from England don't sound like characters in Jane Austen movies

I think you should use whatever form of the word
seems culturally correct for the area in which you live.
A bit like driving. I'm sure many people could argue about which country drives on the 'correct' side of the road, but I am going to use the side of the road that doesn't have me driving head on into a truck.
i would advise against drinking nyquil or anything of that nature, I end up having cough-wracked hallucinations all night long, without getting any actual sleep.
That said, I am fine and dandy, the sun outside is shining and I am prepared for a night of debauchery.

i don't smoke
can you get lung replacements nowadays? personally i don't think its asthma as the test for asthma was "hey run over there 10 times" "oh your out of breath - you have asthma" wtf? no i don't - i just get chest infections what else causes your lungs to collapse twice a year?

i shamed to say it's only a thick layer of tar keeping mine at all inflated, but on the upside at least they won't leak.

I may start taking up smoking to kill all those little hairs that keep bringing the shite up outta my lungs
but then again i can just afford to live, let alone smoke :( plus with all my savings invested in shares... that really didn't help
