If that's your view, fine.
But if you're so into this whole being nice for the sake of it thing, I'd lump that in with it.

So I presume you've never mocked or picked fault in the law or any opinion or human concept ever then?

Not whilst going on about being nice, no.
I thought you might chime in.

ok, i change it to
"why not be nice for the sake of it, but not prepared to give credence to ideas that fall apart under the most casual inspection and when go unchallenged lead to parent indoctrinating their children to believe the same pap as they do resulting in a world where absurd ideas are held dear, perhaps not because of their worth, but because they subconciously remind people of their childhood?"

Shock horror, person has opinion on thing on internet.
The fact is, if you've ever mocked or picked fault with anything (which despite my rhetoric, I know you have) then ultimately you have done the exact same as other people do to religion. It's still just a view, no different to a secular opinion or concept apart from the deluded idea that in some way it is higher and more meaningful.
If something is inherently ridiculous then people will mock it, and if people fervently believe in it then they will feel the need to defend it as to protect their own comfort zone and struts their truths and values are built upon. You could say the same about American views on the constitution and freedom and liberty, equally violently defended and equally skewed and misinterpreted.
