Oliver Postgate, the brilliant mind behind The Clangers, Bagpuss and many other childhood favourites, passed away this week. He was a big influence on many b3tans, and this week's challenge is to pay tribute. RIP.

you beautiful man
sadly if experience has taught me anything, this week will be filled with people posting derogatory pictures of bagpuss which I'd rather not see, I may go elsewhere for the week and just assume you were all lovely to a very, very lovely and amazing man :(

I'm a touch too young for Clangers I think
my brother loved them. It was Bagpuss all the way for me :)

I think Mr Postgate himself should win
for writing this......
And when Bagpuss was asleep, All his friends were asleep. The mice were ornaments on the mouse organ. Gabriel and Madeleine were just dolls. Professor Yaffle was just an old wooden bookend in the shape of a woodpecker. Even Bagpuss himself, once he was asleep, was just an old, saggy cloth cat, Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams, But Emily loved him
Goodnight sir and thank you.

I utterly loved bagpuss when I was little.
I find it hard to believe there were only 13 episode.
Bagpuss reminds me of staying at home from school after pretending to be poorly and then wishing you hadn't because telly was just a bit of kid's TV followed by hours of Pebblemill, Take the High Road and Crown Court.
