# Apologies for lack of photoshopping.
But a tragedy has occured.
Below is my car
Photobucket
but now
Photobucket

and this, this, this, and this.

Damn.

Edit: drove into the back of someone as they drove into the back of someone else who braked too hard.

# Herald?
What did you do to it?
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:40, archived)
# Lucky it was
an old car, and not a new one.
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:41, archived)
# old car is worth more than new car silly person
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:43, archived)
# This is not really true, is it?
I have a 1964 split screen camper, which is worth a bit, but not as much as an Audi A6, for example.

A new car is normally worth more actual cash than an old one, just because of demand.
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:44, archived)
# okay imagine your "new" car in 40 years
...oh its fallen apart what a shame - stupid electronics... etc etc :p
how's your ankle?
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:47, archived)
# To be fair,
most of the old cars have fallen apart too. They are easier to mend, but they aren't terribly good.

Bear (roar!) in mind that I have pretty much always had vintage vehicles until now (Delica is pretty fucking basic though!)
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:00, archived)
# i'm going vintage
hold on... lemme show you my prototype scale model
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:02, archived)
# Bloody hell,
That's not so much of a leap.

Reminds me of my first side-car. I built that out of chipboard at first and went nowhere - the aluminium version must still be around somewhere.
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 22:11, archived)
# theres gonna be an "up to date" version too...
mmmm v twin motorbike engine *purrrrrrr* :D

# Far out!
A 21 window bus would be worth utterly stupid money...people pay north of $25,000 for them over here.

On the other hand, my 1969 MG Midget is worth squat. Midgets are the unloved car.
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:49, archived)
# I want a midget!
(, Wed 10 Dec 2008, 21:50, archived)
# I like the midget,
but am too tall.

*counts windows* 2 at the front, 2 diddy ones, the two which open (I guess they are two, not four), 6 down the sides and one at the back.

13 windows, I guess?

This looks the same, but says it is an 11 window:

# last time i was in one of those...
(it was on the back of a trailor ready to be repaired) I pushed on the brake pedal and my foot went through the floor and i rolled off down the hill, grabbing the handbrake which did nothing at all :D - only stopped by 4 mates jumping infront and hanging on the bumper!

# I wish I had the money* to get mine mended again.
It's rotting at the moment - I have it in the dry, but it is not doing it any good at all ;¬(

I just have on road parking and an 8X6 shed full of kids' bikes.

# that's a triumph vitesse/herald right?
provided you haven't bent the chassis the body panels on any of the triumph "sports six" range:

# Herald
# Spitfire
# Vitesse
# GT6
# TR
# Stag

just bolt on and are fairly easy to replace. They are all pretty much the same chassis
underneath.

try here: www.tssc.org.uk/ for spares.
