I learned yesterday about something related to twitter called 'the fail whale'
I have not bothered to find out what it really is - although I can guess, of course.

It's a desperate cry for attention in a digitized world, where they no longer can make actual conversation in real life, to real people. Also, they all have really small penises.

I'm on hyves, despite not speaking any Dutch.
I have a couple of internet-only friends in the Netherlands as a result...

It can't get any louder than it is already. There are about three different strands of radio playing simultaneously at my work.
It's like the world's shittest fairground.

In your lunchbreak, strealthily remove the fuses from the radio plugs.

It's a radio station, so I'm pretty sure they've got all the licencing bollocks going down.
Hot Christ I wish they hadn't.

This gets a clickety!
And to those of you sounding off about Twitter/Facebook and any other networking bollocks I say that this is what I'm hearing from you
"Wah! Wah! Wah! I don't understand the Internets, it's all moving on so fast! I'm so cool because I don't interact with anyone, ever!"
I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people about who say the same about B3ta.
Now, wind your necks in and please remain seated on the anti-twitter bandwagon until it has come to a complete stop

I have to agree
that b3ta is less readily understandable than Twitter

b3ta's purpose is to make (and er ... appreciate) images
twitter's purpose can only really be to write/read short bits of text.
most people can write 140 chars, therefore there's not much skill involved, therefore it's obviously all nonsense
QED.
(brought to you by the tenuous logic department :)

You need to meet my Nan
She spent hours last family gathering explaining how she didn't like Sainsburys any more and that the pelican crossing right outside her house on direct route to the shops was all wrong.
Ooooh, isn't it awful.
