I can't remember the last time I saw a trailer which wasn't just a fast cutting collection of the loud bits interspersed with a few one-liners. There really seems to be no imagination in creating film trailers any more.

To be fair the UK film industry is pretty decent. Although what'll happen now that they've scrapped the Film Council so there's no budget for new talent to be developed is anyone's guess.

I've still got hopes for Attack The Block. It's a nice idea, just with a shit generic trailer. It's impossible to tell anything at all from that trailer.

Ones about crime heists and others about how shit the UK is. Usually the film does both.

Unless it is made for the yanks, then it will just consist of posh people stuttering for two hours.

It's a lazy stereotype that can be defeated with good characterisation and development. If this film can show Capital-Y-Youths in a different light (ie. with actual personalities) then all credit to it.
